in other news....booze and food prices will double

Also worth mentioning that a cajun filet biscuit combo now costs $15 at Charlotte area Bojangles.

Coincidence...or psychic phenomenon??????

EDIT: Damn you Jangler...Dammit....Damn you!!1!11!

Worth versus what you'll get for them are far different in the world of Panther PSLs. A friend of mine sold his 3 a couple years ago and was extremely pissed that he paid more for his PSLs in '95 from the team during the initial offering than the team was selling them for in 2008.

Through the team, not a broker mind you. He paid $2k more for each PSL than the team was listing them for on the Panthers website. The Panthers actually repriced a lot of PSL sections by raising some PSL prices, lowering others and some they did nothing with.

In this economy I wouldn't even try to sell my PSLs. They simply are not worth anything when the team is not successful. If they were consistently winning it would still require a pretty decent economy to sell them. 90% of the stadium is filled with PSL tickets, but the owners are at home or elsewhere while whoever bought that day's tickets are in the stadium.

There is no return on investment in the PSLs. The team is horrible which makes selling them for a profit impossible. And selling the individual game tickets is only recovering a small portion of your seasonal ticket expenditure as well.

Panthers PSLs- the proverbial albatross. Or, the gift that keeps on costing....

Who gives a poo. I didn't buy my PSLs looking to turn a profit and anybody that did so is not very smart IMO. I paid the PSL cost as a pay-to-play and chalked it up as a loss. That money is gone in my eyes. I love the Panthers and enjoy going to the games and will just deal with the peaks and valleys of an NFL franchise.

People like you that are going to sell your game tickets to opposing fans are the real problem.

Ya I'm wondering. Do people Buy PSL's for an investment or because the panther are your favorite team and u like to see them live through good and bad times?

There actually is a line in the PSL contract where you agree that you are not buying PSL's for investment purposes. lol

#2 please, with mustard

If investing thousands means nothing to you and you chalk it up as a loss anyway, I've got some land to sell you. Sorry, I drop that much cash on something I'd expect to get my money's worth, but that's just me...

And I normally know the people I sell my seats to... both times I've done it, so you obviously know poo. Only missed 6 home games in 15 years, 2 by choice. But tell me where your seats are and I'll make an honest effort to buy something close, turn around and scalp them to a Pittsburgh fan or something.

:smilielol5: I certainly didn't buy PSLs to turn around in 5 years and sell them for a profit. I bought them so I could have season tickets to see my favorite team play for the next 25 years.

529, Row 12, seats 1 & 2. Please, buy something close and sell them to opposing fans. I absolutely love talking poo to opposing fan douche bags.

I'm negotiating selling our four PSLs, for personal reasons, not because of the bad season. Here's what I told the guy who may purchase them:

I do think ... that the value of the PSLs cannot be tied to just one season. The value is in what you want from them -- the pleasure of the NFL experience in person and the guarantee that you can have that experience as long as you wish (as long as you own the PSL). The value also includes being able to pass those PSLs along to your children, if you wish.

I believe that. I also reminded him that there's value in buying MY PSLs because they are next to his good friend and business partner. Will see what happens.

Not sure whether this helps ...

http://seatgeek.com/football-nfl-ticket-prices

That list is how much teams were getting on the private market selling their tickets.

He wants to know how much ticket prices are rising next year. I don't think that information has come out for most teams yet.

I have read that Tampa is going down and Detroit, Carolina, Titans 49ers, Patriots and the Texans are staying the same. Don't have a full list. Maybe someone else does.

    • You do, the guy who doesn’t appear to grasp projection.  as the entire board knows, I do in fact, take positions.  The position here I have taken is that Bryce Young is a weak bottom tier starting QB, without NFL starting QB tools, that we must move on from.
    • The OP for one. Asserting that people blamed Bryce for the loss in the title of the thread. That was not the prevailing sentiment at the time this thread was created. Very much a minority thing, I don’t remember but maybe one person if that, putting it on Bryce as the main reason. Troll thread. Did a good job too. Look at the pages.  Someone counting up the draft picks as 10 on offense and 10 on defense or whatever the number was, today or yesterday - of which the offensive ones were heavily 1s and 2s and the defensive picks were heavily day 3 and declaring that proof that the offense wasn’t favored like people claim. The obvious neglect we watched for two years. I spent time refuting that bullshit because someone needed to.  People saying we are bad horrible people and hate poor lil Bryce for no reason, as if it is a personal thing. Constantly.   Along the same lines is people saying we non Bryce fans would rather lose than have him play well and the team wins. That we are mad when the team wins   Point illustrated.
