I think it looks intentional with the consistent asdfasdf. Also, the y is the only letter used that's not along the center row of keys on a keyboard. Knowing how an office can be, it wouldn't surprise me if a reporter left their computer unlocked and someone hammered on his keyboard while he was away... apparently, he never noticed it.
