Cutler getting ripped apart by NFL players

The problem is that guys like Rivers played on a torn ACL, Adrian Peterson played weeks with a torn or partially torn knee ligament (can't remember if it was the MCL or the other outer ligament).....

......Part of the reason he may have been crying could've been because he finally "gave in" toughness wise...

WTF DID YOU Guys want him to do????!!!! Every injury is different.

The guy threw an INT before half time on the Knee!!

Went and got work on it during halftime CAME BACK OUT and tried to play on it!!!!

Then on a pass any QB could easy make he short hopped it to a teammate that was not far from the line of scrimmage!!!!!

If he can;t play and throw the ball to his teammates you want him to keep going out there and short hopping the ball!! IF HE DID JAY WOULD BE CALLED SELFISH AND EVERYONE WOULD BE CALLING FOR LOVIES JOB!!!! "Why would he go out there and he knows he can't throw the ball pass X yards" What was lovie thinking keeping him in the game? blah blah blah. That's my opinion, but I think that is close to a factual statement!

Either way it's a lose lose situation for both of them!!

Basically this comes down to the fact that players shouldn't speak really. They aren't very smart to begin with but people somehow care what they think all the time. Same goes for when they talk about players to bring in, coaching decisions, etc.

Players need to STFU and play football. When the game is over, STFU and go home.

I am not bashing him at all. He did everything he could while he was out there. He was NOT able to move the offense, so a change should have been made (injury or not).

Lost in all the Cutler piling on is that horrendous reverse play call on 3rd and 3 that completely killed the Bears' offensive momentum.

And lost in the Cutler/Rivers comparison is that Rivers sat out the 4th quarter of the Indy game because of the knee. Billy Volek led that winning drive, with Turner as the RB, and Naanee with the big pass play on that drive.

Derrick Brooks made a point on ESPN today that 50% of Jay Cutler is probably better than 100% of the other guys they had on the roster. Although I'd argue that Hanie was the best QB they had yesterday injury or not.

Also, I think it was Golic that said today that part of what makes the best players "the best" is being a competitor and not wanting to come off the field, and wanting the ball in your hands when it's crunch time - injury or not.

And to Bolt, Rivers played 3+ qtrs on that knee though and didn't tell anyone about it until after the season was over IIRC. Everyone knew something wasn't right, but no one knew it was that bad. He wanted to be out there. Plus, no ACL vs a partially torn MCL are two completely different injuries, the ACL means your knee is not stable AT ALL.

On FirstTake, Heath Evans was the "guest debater" and he said Drew Brees played 6 or so weeks on a torn MCL this season. Panther fans remember because it was a big issue going into that first game and he seemed a little off and his mobility seemed to be an issue... But, he was still better than whatever they had - he knew it, and everyone on that roster knew it... Evans said if he was capable of standing in the huddle and calling the play, he was going to play.

In my mind, it absolutely shows a difference in mentality.

What we could be dealing with is Lovie making that as a football decision rather than an injury-related decision, but they don't want a QB controversy brewing over the off-season.

Rivers has now chimed in on the subject.

(give you three guesses which side he was on)

And word now that Maurice Jones-Drew has gotten death threats from Bears fans.

No one fanbase has the market cornered on idiots :nonod:

But there is always Cutler's personailty on the sideline.... Rather they are up my 30 or down by 30 he always look un interested.... that's just his personality. Don't knock the man because he does not show emotions or act the way you would want him to in every situation.

As a TEAM player, he should have at least been engaged in helping his backups on the sideline. That's my only beef about what happened.
