Long Lost Family

So tonight I learned I have another cousin. I just got done talking to him, we talked for 3 hours.

My uncle (moms brother) was somewhat of a playa. My uncle died in Feb 1985 at the age of 28 and he had a son that was born July 1985 that not many knew about (including me) until now. He wanted to contact his fathers family and after years of searching he finally found us.

I'm really excited about it and I hope to be able to form some kind of relationship with him.

I've got a couple family members I'll likely never meet. My Dad fathered a child that was given up for adoption before he met my mom. One of my uncles actually had three different women pregnant at one time. He married one of them. The others - and their kids - I never met, and probably never will.

I guess we'll see about that. He says he's in the army & stationed in Hawaii & he works on planes. I don't lend money to anyone though, including family. Its easier that way.

I know my uncle has another daughter who I've never known. But it's her mother never wanted anything to do with us because my Aunts were (are) such bitches to her. I would at least like to meet her sometime.

Basically, the whole family knows about it now. I talked to one of my aunts last night about it and she seemed excited but then got angry & wondered why his mom waited 25 years to contact us. I learned from his mom that she tried to tell us but she received a lot of rejection from my aunts, which is believable to me since I know how they are.

I know I have siblings and other cousins out there who I've never met. Maybe I will someday.

I think I have the most dysfunctional family on the planet sometimes.

      Ohio State no. 8 won it all last year.  No. 6 Penn State and no. 7 Notre Dame advanced to the semi-final. This year no. 7 Ole Miss is going to win it all.

      agreed.  Lack of games/opportunity makes him a non-factor in OROTY talk.  He is just now getting the stage where there is legit film on him.  Takes awhile to really see how guys react to all the different scenarios and to find the real weak spots on a QB's play in an O.

      Oh boy how the tables have turned...the passion and extent at which you defend Shough would make even the staunchest Bryce fanboys blush.  The bold part is especially straight from their playbook.  Even if someone here were to withhold giving Shough props, it's pretty understandable as a Panthers fan.  What's quite odd is becoming the biggest stan of our most hated rival's starting QB.  I don't think even Saints fans drool over him this hard. For the record I think this talk about "stans" and "fanboys" is cringe AF and I'm admittedly being rather hyperbolic because this is exactly the kind of discourse and language you personally love to engage in and it's fun to play in the mud from time to time.  There is absolutely no world where you do not meet your own criteria of a "Super Stan" for Shough with how loosely you apply that label to people for Bryce in here.  You're like the Final Boss of Super Stans.
