Person: Panthers possibly looking to hire LB Coach

The buzz from SEC sources is Panthers will hire Georgia inside linebackers coach Warren Belin, who was at Vandy before going to Athens.

There's a name out of the blue :sosp:

NC Native. Wake Forest grad (same year as Ricky Proehl). He coached Hunter Hillenmeyer, one of the Bears LBs that Rivera also coached when he was DC in Chicago.

Wonder if he's actually up for an assistant linebackers coach job, or maybe even an assistant ST coach since he's worked on that before.

It is very possible that Rivera will be most involved with the linebackers, so maybe they will go with someone out of the blue for that spot.

So, an old colleague of Sean McDermott and a classmate/teammate of Ricky Proehl.

Resume' still doesn't quite look like I'd expect for a full fledged LB coach, but we'll see.

Not quite what I was expecting.. But if we can trust Rivera in one area, it's defense. So I don't think he would hire someone that's not qualified to do the job.
