I think it had to do more with him refusing to tackle. i.e. vs the Jets in the playoffs when he avoided Shonne Green.

He is/was a horrible tackler, had off field issues, and was using his supreme ability to try to cover up his lack of discipline.

He is a very rare athlete, but you have to have the right scheme for him.

Compare him to an Asante Samuel, but with more talent, and less discipline.
