SB43's big lesson: Quarterbacks are important

lol if you can't judge a player by what he's done lately, what do you judge him by?

You can use any standard you want. But for example to look at one post season game without looking at the 16 games before that is ridiculous and that is what you haters are doing. All I am saying is what happened last year is no more relevant to the future than assuming that Brady is injury prone and will get hurt again this year.

Well it happened lately. So do we look at his last 5 years or the last 5 games? If we looked at his career he has been healthy. If we do as you suggest and just look at what happened lately then he is injury prone.

The funny thing about Delhomme is that his forth quarter comebacks are usually preceded by 3 quarters of him being quite awful. Alot of QBs dont have alot of QBs naturally wont have the amount of come from behind wins Delhomme has because they dont play as poorly as Delhomme usually does early in the game.

Proof or STFU. I truely think this is a myth created by Jake haters talking out of their asses. I don't see it. If someone can show me some stats that have some meaning on this, I would LOVE to see it.

Is it his 4th quarter rating being good? MJ was at his best in the 4th quarter. Doesn't mean he blew donkey balls for the rest of the game though.

And Jake should've been benched during the Raiders game after he played more poorly than McNabb. Thanks for pointing out Fox isn't as smart as Reid.

Ohhh so now you're the one going by stats without having a real opinion now eh?

If you have seen Ben's play (which we all have seen plenty of) and Jake's play and tell me they are similar, I will tell you that you have got to be one of the biggest homers there is.

I don't think the McNabb-Reid benching thing is quite over yet. McNabb may be trying to get out of Philly. I wouldn't say it was a good or bad move yet. And that is the probelm with benching QB's.

Jake Delhomme's sole turnover was converted into a touchdown by New England, take away that 7 points, everything else happening, and we win. Jake gave his defense bad field position on that score. His game after that turnover though was outstanding, but for that first quarter and a half he couldn't complete any of his passes and the defense was actually containing New England's offense. The score may suggest otherwise, that the defense was routinely getting it's ass beat on every drive, but the defense did shut them out for 2 quarters out of the whole game.

we can't win without him because we've basically ignored QB as long as he's been here.

The only thing that was relevant was that he threw a long bomb to Moose and we are winning just like Ben threw the pass to Holmes with about the same time left. Difference is Pittsburgh gets the strip and the win. We give up a field goal. Things that happened earlier like a turnover is much less relevant.

McNabb rebounded and Reid is now a genius. Most times it doesn't work that way which is why conventional wisdom is that benching a quarterback is a bad idea. if it had gone the other way, Reid would be looking for a job.

Actually I saw Ben's play quite a few times this year and they weren't similar. In the regular season Jake was better most of the time. He had some very poor games as did Ben. But Jake had some great games while Ben was more average and less dynamic. It isn't being a homer, you are a hater and see everything with a skewed perspective. I like Ben and respect him. I only used him as an example to point out that Jake was just as good as he was until the playoffs.

Ive seen Ben play too and it's laughable you think Jake played better. I dont see it with a skewed perspective, I see REALITY. Then I form my opinion from what I see. Call me a hater all you want, but Jake sucks! You are the one with the blinders on.

You never once mention that Ben had one of the top 3 worst lines in football when I've said that to you 3 times now while Jake had the best offense around him that he has ever had in his career. Ben had to work harder than Jake, yet Jake finished the season with more INTs than TDs.

Ben can read defenses, has pocket awareness, can extend plays, and knows how to find the open receiver. All of which Jake CAN NOT do. Ben can scramble and break free from defenders, spin around and still find someone open AND DOES IT ALL THE TIME! Jake on the other hand either hangs on to the ball too long and still goes down or coughs up the ball when being hit. Ben doesn't get rattled with defenses bring pressure while Jake folds when they do. Ben doesn't lock on to 1 reciever like Jake does.

But go ahead and keep thinking Jake played better. Ben is at home right now polishing his 2nd Super Bowl ring.

Yea and you're NOT a homer haha.

Oh yes if you look at the past 16 games you will see exactly what we are talking about from Jake.

Our RB's carried the team, Jake tried to kill it.(and eventually did)

Oh yes Great example with Brady:rolleyes:

He was hit low by a somewhat legal hit and we would assume he is injury prone off that.

But Jake threw 4 ints against a terrible team, so the writing was on the wall with that one.

3 vs another.

You are actually the one being ridiculous.

Take your homer glasses off.

yea right, that turnover only broke the ice for a scoring shootout in the latter half of the 2nd quarter. That fumble had NO relevance whatsoever.

please.

HAHHAHAHAHAH

Oh yes that seals it there, Ben is LESS dynamic than Jake.

That tells me all I need to know now.

Holy wow.

Seems to me that a fiery gunslinger is always more dynamic than a bear of a guy who is more conservative.

Where have you been??

Big Ben didnt have that great of an offensive line and no running game this year. Big Ben's 2007 was a better season that Delhomme could ever hope to have.

Since Jake only played 3 games in 2007 we won't know what he could have done. Guess who had better stats and a higher passer rating at the time Jake was hurt? Yeah that would have been Jake.

But yeah Ben had an outstanding season and no one can take that away from him.

I believe it was a man highly revered on this board that said, "it's not how you start, it's how you finish."

Yea they do that after their fallacy has been revealed.

They try to convince you that you are the one seeing things differently, when it's clear they have the skewed vision.

See to them actually liking the guy means he is good, and championships don't matter so long as the man is a good fella.

See they like Jake, and want him to be good so hard it really messes with them.

When reality strikes they try to accept an alternate truth.

Looking at 1 game? I told you about 8 bad games Jake had 2 days ago. Give me a break. I saw all 16 games and I have concluded that Jake sucks.

Die meisten Schüler wissen nicht, wo sie anfangen sollen, wenn es um diese Innovation geht. Das ist leider ein Misserfolg. Wie wichtig ist das? Genau das ist es, was nicht zu Ihrer Mission gehört. Ich bin gespannt, was Amigos in diesem Zusammenhang vermuten.   FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/venisellereviews/ https://www.facebook.com/smartfocusglasses/ https://www.facebook.com/yummyslimreviews/ https://www.facebook.com/veeloboostercost/ https://www.facebook.com/motionenergygermany/ https://www.facebook.com/activestinreviews/ https://www.facebook.com/matchaslimpills/ https://www.facebook.com/magicoagermany/ Site Google: https://sites.google.com/view/activestinreviews/ https://sites.google.com/view/matcha-slim-pills/ https://sites.google.com/view/magicoareviews/ https://ketrionselee.company.site/
    • Am I reading this right? We've had awful QB play for over half a decade...and we'd pass on Dak because he has no "clutch gene" or can't get it done in the playoffs--something we haven't sniffed and have no reason to believe we will for years to come?!? Sorry, but this sounds like a starving man turning down a box of crackers because they're Great Value instead of Ritz. If a Great Value QB is available when you have none, there is no deliberation needed.
