I believe there are dumbass teams as we have been one of them for a long time now.

Every time I have changed jobs, I later learn that the organization has a reputation for being "dumbass."  I have worked for about 8 different organizations.  What are the odds of that happening?  Uncanny.

right.  You'd think luck would have some role in his success.  He defied wisdon and luck (harder to do) and found stupid every time.

Dude was a broken clock with no hour hand and Tepper asked him to make the franchises biggest trade lol

I am reluctantly, hesitatingly, cautiously, bashfully, and secretly liking what I have seen from Morgan.  (Sure, he drafted Legette and Brooks--I see the logic and the appeal--Legette was raw and Brooks was injured--but I see the plan).  Fitterer had no plan.

The best draft pick during the Fitterer / Rhule era was made by Rhule's wife, according to their "look at how cute we are" confessions.  I think Chuba was drafted before the longsnapper, another pick they laughed about when talking to the media as if to mock the draft process.  Who does that?  Who mocks the draft?

Morgan at least has positives. Still not sure if they outnumber the negatives yet.

I still don't understand how Fritterer worked that long as a scout and wasn't good at anything. Says a lot about the NFL.

But not the dumbest, somehow. The Browns actually gave Deshaun Watson a fully guaranteed contract; something even Tepper's desperate-for-a-QB ass wouldn't do.

He tried.  i thought he was headed for Pantherland for a while.  i hated the trade demands.

We went to the mat with them on that one and only having a newer owner who walked at the deviation of fully guaranteed contract. What he did next wasn't much better...

The Browns and Jets hold the title together as the biggest dumbass teams due to their long history of dumbassery. But we are trying very hard to catch up.

Can you imagine if he had signed off on that deal?

As bad a shape as we've been in the last few years imagine having no 1st round picks the last 3 years AND having no cap space to sign any free agents because of that contract.

Somehow the Browns have managed to be better than us over that span (I don't think Kevin Stefanski gets the credit he deserves for that); the difference is I think we're about ready to come out of our mess and they're just starting to fully fall into theirs.
