It is definitely important.  I am with you on that.  I don't want bad people anywhere near my team.  I am a big locker room type guy.

My point is, there are plenty of good people out in the world for us to be interested in.  We are here for football.  In this setting, they have to be good at that first in my opinion.  If they are a trash human, that does outweigh it all for me, though.

Oh, for sure. Winning an award for "best guys off the field" doesn't necessarily translate to "best guys on the field" and at times you'll need to have one or three of those players that the best you can do to defend them is, "Yea... they're assholes... but they're our assholes so keep your mouth shut about them."

At the same time, again this is speaking strictly for myself and not condemning opposing views, I'm a fan and don't have to worry about losing my income because of their performances. If I were a front office member, my focus would probably be more on how they help the team win games vs. whether or not I trust them behind the wheel at 2am on a Saturday. As the customer, I want my football team to win games and be valued, contributing members of the community.

I value off the field more than most.

I guess, the best example I can think of is someone like Greg Olsen.  I know he does a lot of charitable work, and I appreciate that.  I am not following him on social media trying to see what he is doing next with the HEARTest Yard, though.

I care about football.  As long as they aren't being a detriment to society, I am generally happy.  If they are positively contributing, even better.  If they aren't contributing on the field, though, I just don't really care.

Off the field should be more important, but I am honest.

The catches from the practice film with the Texans look more like he did his senior year in college.  He was very good at catching with his hands and high pointing the ball.  I hope that last year he may have just been adjusting and been in his head a little bit.

    • He's 245lbs and ran a 4.5 at the combine several years ago. You can't teach size or speed so he's got those things going for him. If he has a decent work ethic and the coaches have a plan for him, he should be more than a camp body.
    • Great realistic draft, its missing a 5th the Viking one right or you used it to trade for JROd...I see.  Thomas is the 6th is one of those "autos" if there's no Cole Payton/QB.  I believe Parker is like christ, he can play all 5 OL spots if needed.  Crow is one of my targets for months, sometimes I can get with the 4th, but I think he is a solid 3rd rounder.
    • He does have luke-like traits, but ......ugh I hate to spend draft currency on the low valued ILB. Same bitachin I did about Dan traded up for brooks, he even pulled the classic " we had a 1st round grade on him"  Hell I rather see if Wallace finally learned how to get his body ready for a NFL season. Toss this in the pile too, Id be ok with Claudin Cherelus starting. I think Lloyd will elevate any player next to him and Claudin would break out, he's got the same health issues like Sanders.....he's climbing the mountain and pulls a hammy.  Plus since this a great and deep ILB group, the UDFA pool should have a few players that get overlooked.
