Again you're stuck on blame and Im talking about the situation. Draft position absolutely has a part in QB decisions because it's part of what they are weighing hold/move from a 3rd year QB just like who is available i  the draft. There is zero milk and it's not about blame or fair or any other weighted arguments, it's just the situation and the business.

Are you OK? Your comprehension of what I am saying is well bellow your usual banter.

The cost was paid because the Panthers thought he was worth it. It doesn't automatically mean he is or will be. That's what im saying. I could care less what the team gave up, that's on them. What matters now is if they have a qb going forward. They seem to think they do and have bet their future employment on it. I'm just an observer at this point.

the real question with most sports teams often, is who believes in who.   generally speaking, in house, there isn't always agreement on things.....but decisions get made and company lines get trotted out.

Where they are picking in the upcoming draft when you have a QB entering his 4th year matters, not when you picked the 4th year QB. A team picking late would weigh options differently than a team picking top 10. That what I have been talking g about the entire time boss

Canales already talking about how doesn't want to give Hubbard too much work early this year.  Dude, look at your schedule.   You should be all in on winning early.  Which is why you should of been running a heavy preseason.

He said that?

I have no idea what the team is thinking, boss, and neither do you. I have no idea what they will do or should do based on a hypothetical situation. We will find out when they get there.

The only way that would make any level of sense is if Canales is just fully trying to put our third year #1 overall and pick and the passing offense in sink or swim scenarios early in the season. Because if you look back to the stat logs for that stretch of games where the offense looked "better" with Bryce. Chuba was more often than not the catalyst.

It's basically NFLing and I gave an example. I don't know what they are going to do but if the Bears can do it then other bottom dwellers can figure out the most basic concepts too.

Teams are bottom dwellers for a reason.  We have been one for almost a decade now. Its not going to change overnight or with 1 single player.

This is not the year to be mid. BY either has to be the guy or needs to pull a Jimmy Clausen and lead the Panthers to the #1 over pick.

It's just week 1, but QB draft can bounce back.

Either way don't go 7-10, this needs to playoffs or lose all the games type of season.

After that 23 points showing for all of PS and with thinking PS doesn't matter, it does if you are that bad....

This feel like 4 win team that spoils drafting #5 overall with a week 18 win, thus dropping into the teens with 5 total wins..

Talent and lack of elite coaching, just too much to over much unless the luck gods give the Panthers all they can.

Ok yeah see my post above. I feel like that is a direct challenge to his starting QB.

I want Hubbard to have like 25 carries.

4 of our 5 wins were basically the result of Hubbard being the primary cog of the O.   That’s how we win.  I don’t need Canales thinking week 18 is where he and Bryce needs thier heads

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
