He's out of contract and doesn't want to be here anyway.

His historically bad defence had historically bad talent on it by the way.

Yeah I’ve been an Evero apologist because of the Jimmies and Joes he has had to work with. But my patience is waning with it all.

Dom should take over for the rest of the year then let Canales pick his guy.

I think Dom and Caldwell are part of the problem in Carolina.  Why are they surviving? Why the hell did Jim Caldwell basically get to be the President of operations and help put together the current era after being involved in the Frank nightmare.

lets get rid of the two 70 year old advisors.   They don’t have the answers for today’s NFL

Of the two, the defence is the far better unit in terms of bang for your buck.

All of the resources are in the offence - and the QB is absolutely tanking that unit. If Evero was giving up 26 points a game with us having used the last 4 first round picks on D I'd be complaining.

He's been given scraps and expected to field a competent unit. Scourton is the first high pick we've used on D since Horn.

How do you think a defense which gave up 200 yards on the ground and 138 of those by halftime is doing better than the offense. It was over 6 yards a carry for Jacksonville even when we knew they were going to run.  Both were dreadful. We were on pace to give up almost 500 yards which got reduced to 378 when Jacksonville focused on running out the clock instead of scoring more points. Do you know how many 3 and outs we caused all game. I drive at the beginning of the second half. Pitiful.  Our offense had two 3 and outs which is not that unusual but surely nothing to write home about. No the defense is starting out exactly where it ended last year- historically bad.

Easy - I watched an offense that scored 3 points most of the game before Jacksonville called off the dogs and gave the offense a TD late. 10 of those points also came on a short field due to a bryce interception and the failed onside kick. Defense even gave them enough opportunities to make it a game in the 2nd half and all they did was fug it up.

Not saying our defense played great, but that loss was more on the offense than defense. If we can only rely on our offense to score 3 non garbage time points against below average defenses, then we will safely go 0-17

    • Perfect example why Zod said they are getting rid of the Tinderbox. 😉 Segmenting which swallow has the best airspeed velocity is what divides us! Bravo Zod.
    • I've been reading around on different websites about our team and OTAs and minicamps.  There are several members of this team that need to step up.  These are a few of mine.  Please feel free to add to the iist. 1. Bryce Young, Obviously the No. 1 person who needs to step up.  Bryce has been given everything a QB could ask for.  We have a top tier offensive line. Big WRs that can get open and make plays.  A decent running game.   Over tha past couple of years we have really put enough players in position to help him.  He has to be the guy to step up and utitlize his players. 2. Jaelan Phillips, Just because of the massive contract we gave him.  He has to be the leader of the pass rush.  He has to be in double digit sacks or the money isn't worth it.  He has to bring Scourton and the rest of the group to the top. 3. Ejiro Evero, Two years ago he had the statically worst defense in NFL history but was given a reprieve because we focused primarily on the offensive side of the ball for Young.  Last year we improved and we just didn't have enough to stop elite QBs.  This year he has been given just about everything a defensive coordinator could ask for.  IMO he has 4 cornerbacks that have impressed this offseason.  He received solid help for Brown with Hunter and Phillips. Our weakest area, LB Corp, we signed Lloyd to solidify that group.  With all the tools he has this season he needs to show why we kept him after 2024.  IMO he has no excuses this season.   Lastly, IMO is X. Legette. He has shown sporadic flashes but nothing to justify being a first round pick.  The WR room is stacked this season and any number of players from that group could make the 53 man roster. XL is going to have to show out this preseason.  At minimum, he performs well enough to possibly get a trade to a team needing a WR.  I think with T-Mac, Coker and Brazzell in the mix for the top three position we would be wise to utilize the remaining WR spots for players with a larger ceiling than XL.  Training Camp and Preseason will sort them out and IMO if XL doesn't flat out show out he's done in Carolina.  Feel free to add to this list.  And of course, your opinion.
