Things I hated about that season:

- Rivera always coasted in the second half and thus games that looked like blowouts in the first half became nail biters in the second.

- The team failing to adjust after Atlanta exposed weaknesses in our schemes, then watching those same things happen in the Super Bowl.

- Learning that the coaches told someone (Mike Gilbert, I think) to help Remmers against Miller in the Super Bowl, and them basically refusing to do so

 

I gotta disagree a little.  Cams ability to escape the pocket kept the oline from looking as bad as it really was.

Interior line was among the best units we've ever had. I wish we had a center half as good as Kalil now.

Correct.  It was the tackles.  Oher was good when Cam stayed still.  Remmers was never good.

FYI: Lady Cowboy Fan and I were both standing for the last drive of the game.

But apparently not far enough apart

When Brandon Aubrey hit the game winner, she shoved me while celebrating and I fell onto a couch.

In the future, I plan to maintain a safe distance from her during games like this

Additional Note: Her sister is a Steelers fan, and after the game she directed me to text her sister a gloating message of "Hey, thanks for George Pickens."

I don't think they make it out of the AFC this season, and as top-heavy as the conference is, they may not even be a playoff team. 4 minutes from starting 0-2, just like us!

Statistically speaking, you only have about a 12% chance to make the playoffs starting 0-2.

Regarding Mccarthy, I think the bloom is off the rose a bit.  He may still be good, but has not been good tonight.

Credit where credit is due, the Falcons pass rush, normally a thing of myth, did get to him frequently. I think we lose next week as well, and the Falcons aren't good, but if they muster up some rush again, we might be in for a beating.

I think atlanta is gonna be an embarrassing loss instead of a competitive one next week.

They will exploit our weaknesses, which is pretty much everything.
