Stats don't win games. Players do.

He set a record in 2023 with 103 tackles becoming the only DL in league history with over 100 tackles.  Also a majority of DB's tackles are happening at the LOS like this.  He is absolutely worth the money and people hating on him just have some misplaced anger at this point.  There are plenty of things to be disappointed with currently about this team and DB is not one of them.  Imagine having actual decent LB play behind this man.

That's one of those bets you really have to convince an IRL sportsbook to do, typically for a pretty large wager. 

I have been trying to get one to give me favorable odds on Panthers not having a winning season before 2030 for the past two offseasons. No takers yet, even though I offered a five figure bet up.

Given the idiocy of our big bass man I wouldn’t bet that he’s gone.

He’s liable to win four or five and get those stats where Tepper looks at it and says if he just had a better coach. And here we go again for four more years of the tippy toe offense.

You got that right. Those linebackers are a waste of a roster spot. Wallace looks just like he looked last season. Slow, getting pushed around, completely ineffective.

Sacks are not the best measure of his value, IMO. If he takes up two guys then one of his teammates should be eating. I don’t much of that. 
I would say look at Brian Burns the other day tearing. He wasn’t doing that until they put more in the line with him that people have to worry about. Now he is eating.

Watch some of Jalen Carter tape he does the same and actually finish his tackles in the backfield . If all brown is , is a glorified nose tackle then we over paid for his services . Too many games where you never notice him. He should be a game wrecker at a 100 million he’s not . Burns actually produced here but the huddle hated him for some odd reason . The huddle hates anyone that produces then when they shining on another team they cry about why we let them go .

Stats don't win games. Players do.

I watch him enough . I know what he can and can’t do . Propping him up for 100 tackles but only 8 came in the backfield isn’t as impressive as many try to make it out to be . He be invisible way too much to make 100 million .

Burns was and is not worth what he is getting paid(like you are saying about Brown). Good player, for sure, but never has been dominant. Likely never will be.

We disagree then. 

You want to talk about someone not being worth the money? That’s why Burns is gone. A guy that is a definite liability in the run game isn’t worth close to what the Giants gave him. I am glad they let him go because I definitely did not want to pay him that. 
 

I wish we’d have taken the Rams’ offer but oh well we had to waste our own picks on Bryce.

Burns and Reddick were essentially the same player here, minus the Spiderman sack celebration.

He produced ten times more than brown does . Brown is known to be run stopper but rarely get tfls and don’t tell me he’s double teamed every play . If you gone scapegoat one player (burns ) you can’t turn a blind eye to brown either. Btw i would’ve took the rams deal too . But give me burns over brown every day of the week .

First: What do you think the word ‘scapegoating’ means?

Because what I said was not scapegoating. 

They are two different players playing two different roles. 
I simply said two things about Burns, if I recall.
One, basically he is a one dimensional player that is doing well because they have a very strong front in NY. 
Two, I was against paying his price because he is a liability against the run. One dimensional and therefore not worth it. 
Summing it up: he e is a pass rush specialist, about all I have ever felt about him, and his financial demands made him much less of a value.  IMO.
