Drafting X is like the poster board for mistakes. Hopefully, lesson learned.

Obviously he's strugged heavily at times. Hopefully he continues to play better. Regardless at the end of the day his position is dependent on a passer being able to capitalize on every throw on the field. When there are opportunities for plays to be made but the QB won't or can't pull the trigger or simply can't get the ball there that is a big problem too. We need to see development in multiple facets of this passing game and until we see that being created by the most important position on the roster the onus cannot be solely placed on the wide receivers.

Analysis? Is that what you call the OP. It read more like an opnion piece to me. I just don't agree with those opinions at this point in either of their carreers.

But, I am all with you in wanting them to do well. Time will tell though.

Well, call it opinion. I mean from some perspective analyses are interpretations, but based upon facts that are used to draw conclusions.

I can respect your opinion that there hasn't been enough time to draw a conclusion about either X's or Bryce's capability to meet what was considered their potential and expectations when they were drafted. What you should acknowledge is that others differ in that opinion and feel that there has been enough time, especially when juxtaposed against some others whom we could have drafted, or that perhaps some Huddlers are just tired of waiting. In my opinion, the Tepper era has been exhausting, so fans have a right to be impatient.

What I would also say, is that at the end of the day, my original post is not so much about the disappointing play of X (or Bryce, really), but that there was a better option for the franchise and for Bryce in Ladd McConkey. Not to revisit all the points of players that we've drafted for the last decade, but the team hasn't necessarily done well, or even average to be honest.  In light of how their respective careers have begun, and the observation that arguably damned near all star receivers flash generally multiple times during their rookie years, I don't see how anyone can say with a straight face that we shouldn't have chosen Ladd McConkey over Xavier Legette. That being said, I hope X can up his game to Ladd's level. Some may try and pigeon-hole Ladd into a slot position, ironically where I think X would be at his best, but the fact is is that Ladd can play effectively on the outside or the slot. More than a few people knew that Ladd was a polished receiver with high upside, but it just seems like the Panthers did not. What's done is done, so all I can do is hope that X becomes more consistent, and realizes some of that upside that compelled Dan Morgan to draft him.

Dog 9 catches for 92 yards a game

Is 144 & 1500

wtf are you talking about. Lmaoo.

Does Bryce look like he can get XL 1500 yards in a season?

Name another number 2 that’s getting a legit 1200’s per year

He's averaging less than 29 yards a game dog

Looking at the compliment of targets on the field in a given formation, and given the QB and M.O. of this offense (hopefully run heavy but also using the RB as a pass receiver), what would you expect a number two to do?
Not the best number two for the highest flying offense, but here for this one? Honest question, looking for a baseline.

Improve upon the 7% career drop rate for one. Maybe improve upon that catch rate, which is the 2nd lowest of those 2024 1st round rookies while also being the least productive.

That is reasonable. It is harder to quantify yardage expectations than to judge your criteria, IMO.

Edit, PS.
The leaving his feet to make a catch bothered me last year but then I saw (I forget who right now) a bona fide guy doing the same thing in the course of last year sometime and worried less about it.
I thought hIs TD catch Sunday was pretty good  fwiw.

He has exceptionally terrible funadmentals, definitely the worst I have ever seen for a Panthers drafted WR since 1995. I am just not sure that is all gonna be correctable, sadly.

If he can improve enough, he can be a rosterable WR moving forward. That's my actual prediction for his ceiling.

Seeing him turn into a jugs machine fanatic and general hard worker would help a lot.
