Our passing O was 32 out of 32 in his best season here.

The complaining about him not being here is legitimately ridiculous.

We have young players who need reps anyways.

Are you guys still going to be crying about this dude two or three years from now?

You think that was the fault of the guy that was lighting it up or maybe the bums around him?

Funnily enough, those bums are still being bums in his absence. Who would have thought!

AT got what he deserved. Be gone and enjoy those 4 catches and the bench and your pay cut

Deserved, I wouldn’t use that word. Asked for? For sure. Am I upset over it? No.

People forget that AT was throwing his helmet in frustration last season over his QB’s ineptitude. The same QB was pretty inept to start this year, no guarantee AT would have helped him in those games any more than he did last year.
Just sayin.
And Dan doing him a solid probably did not go unnoticed by players around the league. I think it increases his rep with potential FAs. It sure can’t hurt it.

Sir he is at the end of his career and he was never a top end talent even in his prime. Some people here speak of him as if he is a first ballot hall of famer and it is astoundingly comical.

As it is. Our passing offense right now based on YPG is the best it has been since 2020 and that is with a QB whose physical talent is extremely polarizing amongst the fanbase and a group of up young receivers many claim are terrible depending on the narrative their trying to push.

before preseason

AT "yeah I came back because I want to play with Bryce" (no mention of the raise)

after preseason

AT "get me the fug out of here and I will take a goddamn paycut to do so"

I don't think it can be underestimated how much that both Bryce and AT relied on that connection.

They elevated each others play. Frankly, we haven't had anyone AS capable of filling that void.

Not to say in the end we won't be better off because all these potentially future core players like TMac, Coker, Horn, etc are getting more reps and accelerating those learning curves.

Well said, my friend.

You sound like a JT O'Sullivan sock account with all the straw man arguments.

Literally read your post and see how little it has to do with anything anyone said in this thread.

Yep. If he had seen opportunity to thrive here, he might have resisted the family’s apparent homesickness a little. He caved willingly.
I am sure he thought he was going to a better QB situation on top of the other attraction that moving home represented.

It is bewildering how emotionally tied some of you are to this guy. He's a career Minnesota Viking and he's currently playing for them now. Yet some of you are practically ready to throw down over others difference in opinion of his current value to an offense. Sounds cultish. But you guys do you 🫡

Again with the straw man arguments. You have Trump level of delusions about this subject.

Here, let me do you in this case....

I don't know if AT fuged your girl or your wife or whatever but your level of hatred towards a guy not even on the team is insane. I can't believe you keep hate watching all these Vikings games as a result. It's crazy behavior but, by all means, you do you.

Now...see how nutty that sounds? Go read this thread and see how emotional you are over something no one in this thread is talking about emotionally.

No, he did want to go back to Minny. That was a real thing. Given the newer resources we had, it was the overall correct decision to trade him away. It definitely didn't make us a better team in the short term but it may yet make us a better team in the long term.

It was always going to suck to lose him but it was the correct decision to make for him and us.

We lost a big part of our receiving game in the short term but it exposes many warts and blemishes IMO. We weren't or should not have been building a passing game off a 35 year old player that was most likely retiring at the end of the season.

And those targets are mostly going to TMac, who will be a part of the FUTURE of the team. Did it remove the most reliable WR and Bryce's safety blanket? Absolutely.

But it's also allowing him to build better chemistry with TMac, Stephens, Horn, Evans, etc. I am pumped to see Coker back and hopefully they can reignite that connection.
