It was a walk in touchdown…You know the defense calls plays based on what they think you are going to run right?

So what.

Everybody knows Mccaffrey's going to get the ball the 49ers still keep pounding it.

If your highly paid offensive line can't give you some push on 1st and goal at the 1 then you're wasting your money.

I haven't seen Rico get stopped all season when we've handed it to him in goal line situations.

If you have a QB you can’t trust to pick up a yard with a sneak, you don’t have a QB in this league. We see teams all over the league having success in 1-2 yard situations with the QBs on crucial down and distance. We can’t even attempt it with Bryce. Purdy had numerous first downs tonight on short yardage. Hurts has made a living on the goal line. We have horrid success on the goal line and can’t even consider running the quarterback for a yard. Big yikes.

You do know any other QB that doesnt get tripped by a fingertip is celebrating a TD on that run by Bryce.

He could have walked into the end zone on the stupid pass he threw for an INT where momentum was everything. Kid has ZERO situational awareness along with the coach.

You run the ball.

At the one yard line, first and goal, after your defense gets a turnover and puts you in prime scoring territory, and a momentum changing opportunity. With TWO great running backs, and Dowdle being one of the best RB's in the league this year. It's truly a mind fug.

    • He has one or two reads at best. This being the guy we drafted for this "processing speed". He just does not see the blatantly obvious open receiver ever. Just forces it into his first or second progression.
    • Well don't worry, I'm sure you'll get plenty more chances.
    • I don’t really want to give up on Canales because the team is getting better since he took over. I do think that is more due to Morgan than him. I think he needs to get his 3rd year for sure. I was okay with firing Rhule after his 2nd year because of the dysfunction and him really just being a dumbass. It was clear he hit his ceiling. I was okay with firing Reich because it was very clear he did not give a single poo anymore.    Other than Canales having to work with Bryce, the other issue is the job wasn’t attractive at the time, and Tepper wanted an Offensive Coach. Dave was just learning how to be an OC in Tampa when he became a HC here, he’s still learning to be an OC really and who knows maybe he will be a good one someday. He’s 11-18 with 5 games left. Rivera was 13-19 and even Shanahan was 10-22 after his first two seasons.    Year 3 will be telling for DC.
