Bryce might be the most frustrating player we've ever had.

Bryce obviously has this clutch gene where he can make lazer throws with the game on the line. But he struggles down to down. How much of this is a confidence problem? I refuse to believe our WR's aren't getting open consistently. You can see them open on the game tape. Cam would be undefeated with this roster. Delhomme would have some huge games in this offense. We should have won last week, and the Saints game.

I will give credit where it is due, Bryce came up huge this game. Down multiple defensive starters, Bryce and Canales had their most memorable victory together. I'm hoping this will catapult the team. But why the hell do we have to play the game so close when we have opportunities to break away with a lead?

Well the refs did it against the Rams. We were running the ball well and then the holding penalty and sack on Bryce killed that drive. It wasnt even a hold. But it definitely killed the drive. I believe it happened at the beginning of the 4th quarter. Chubba was a force that drive

Once again  Atlanta...the only team he has truly balled out against. Name another team besides Atlanta where he has done that and won?? I will wait...

He has like 4 "good/great"  games total in his entire career....  vs the packers last year vs the falcons last year.... *not until we were playoff eliminated*  and the last two weeks this year....  which are the only ones I even count because they actually mattered....

Dude is putting up similar #s to 44 year old Aaron Rodgers and people act like he's amazing i don't get it

How many off games were between the Falcons game and yesterday’s Rams game?

If you are attempting to make a point about ratios and ignoring the entire body of work, that is pretty illogical.

I mean, even if you isolated for 2025 alone it would be very rough on the "good to bad" ratio.

That's the problem with Bryce. It's way more bad than good.

It's impossible to build a successful, sustainable franchise on that foundation.

I will ask you this, if you are the GM, are you signing him to that 5th year option? Are you extending him to a top 10-15 QB contract this offseason?

Bryce has had 3 bad games this season. The rest have been below average, average, good, great, exceptional.

5th depends on last 4 games but i think it'd give them some flexibility of when they can sign or select a new qb.  if they do it wont be as tragic as some are making it out to be.

extension prob not unless he balls out and we make a playoff run this year.

What a dumb argument. While we’re at it, we should discredit Kurt Warner because Marshall Faulk was a great running back. Let’s also discredit John Elway because Terrell Davis was damn good.

vs Packers 2023 mentioned this one any games were we are already eliminated dont matter no pressure.

vs Cardinals 2024 see above

vs Falcons 2024 see above

vs Cardinals 2025 loss

vs Dolphins 2025  mediocre under 200 yards and a pick

vs Cowboys 2025 mediocre under 200 yards

vs Falcons 2025 owns the falcons impressive game mired by hideous 4th down throw away and sitting on his ass like a clown.

vs Rams 2025 Mid at best barely 200 yards 3 tds but one on a screen and two on blow 4th down coverages.

Lmfoa  FIFY and counting any games as good that occure after the team is playoff eliminated is low brow.

The FACT is the Atlanta game is the only GAME hes ever had that was truly impressive that actually mattered meaning the Panthers were not playoff eliminated and there was REAL pressure to win.... of course he pooed the bed vs the worst team in the NFL the week before and made two horrible 4th down plays.

IMO, I wouldn't ink that 5th year option unless he DOES ball out these last few games. I won't be furious if it does happen but I do think it will be a mistake when it's looked at in hindsight.

I just think you have to crack the top 25 starting QB's in the NFL to even be considered for that 5th year option. Does it set up the franchise for a tough financial decision a year earlier if he balls out in 2026? Yes. But would that situation differ if it was a tough 2026 on the 4th year and a baller 2027 on the 5th?

Ultimately, the body of work has conclusively and without almost any question shown he is not a franchise QB. It's generally unwise to consider massively expensive and long term commitments if that isn't the case. Otherwise you end up in the Trevor Lawrence scenario.

It's going to be a very interesting last 4 games and an even more interesting offseason on the Bryce front. I really don't have a read on what direction they plan to go. I have suspicions but not an actual read.

He would need to average at least 250 passing 3 tds and record 4 wins for me to want them to pick up that option.  Of course I know if we don't he will somehow turn into a Brees/Mahomes combo next year and put up 5k and 40 tds lol

Some of you are too infatuated with passing yards. It might be a shock to you, but you don’t need to throw for 200 yards or more to have a good game. 200  yards is not some magical cut off point - you have to look at the entire picture. He was very efficient in those games. Some would rather have Bryce throw for 330 yards and have 3 tds with 2 picks than an efficient 199 yards 3 tds, no picks and a win.

    • I would hardly call yesterdays defensive performance improved. Take away those turnovers and the Rams probably score 49 points. The defense gave up 246 yards in the first half alone. Their running backs averaged over 6 yards a carry over the game. They could not stop them. I do not know how you can claim it was their stellar perfomance that won the game. Young completes 75% of his passes, converts all 3 of his 4th down attempts and accounted for all 3 offensive TD's and you still claim he was the weak spot yesterday.  Your hate knows no bounds.
    • Lying? What is the above? Packers 2023 was basically the 4th quarter. And it was really good but it was basically maybe 1/3 of the game.  And you will recall he followed that up with two 0 point efforts to finish the year.  What happened in the 1st half of this years Cardinals game? Who won it?  Miami, he made three or four good passes after putti g us in a deep hole all by himself, and Rico and the OL crushed it to take control of that game.    Dallas this year he had crap numbers but played well for all 4 quarters which sort of stood alone. That isn’t what he usually does.  Yesterday, was really good. Absolutely. Answered probably my biggest criticism by throwing the ball downfield.  That LA defense was asleep. And I am grateful to them. That poo is on film now, Let’s see what adjustments get made because that was too easy. If it was your defense that gave it up you would be screaming how did you let that guy beat you over the top?
    • I know we have a few film study people in this group..  Last year was infuriating (with no players) this year you can start to 'see it' coming together.. and like Mr Scott said, Evero is likely here to stay. Can someone do a deep dive in the philosophy of this defense and how its supposed to work? .. the deeper the dive the better 🙂
