It’s feast or famine with Canes scoring and defense these days. Canes scored 1 goal - can’t blame the lack of scoring on goalies gents.

We were 1 shot and 1 goal again, right? I didn’t actually see it as I joined late.

Cant keep playing from behind and only Bus is stopping high quality chances at moment. We are not winning a cup with these goal tenders in my opinion

I don’t blame the goalie when we only score 1 goal, have poor puck control (18 turnovers to sharks 9), and defensive lapses on sharks goals.  After watching replays closely I see a defensive zone turnover and defense as the blame for the 1st sharks goal, and both goalie and defense to blame for the 2nd and 3rd sharks goals. So Kootchi was partially responsible for at most 2 goals. If Canes don’t score more than that we’ll lose a lot of games.

1st Sharks goal- Canes turn the puck over in their end, Celebrini shoots from center left and Graft skates in unmolested at right net front for the tip in. Puck control and defense fail.

2nd sharks goal- Celebrini pass from behind the Canes net to a wide open Klingberg 10 ft in front of the net for the goal while 3 Canes couldn’t defend and Kootch partially screened by Ghost. Defense fail, goalie fail.

3rd sharks goal- Eklund shoots and puck bounces off Kootch to an all alone on right side Wennberg who slams it in for the goal. Goalie fail, defense fail.

The Nashville game was an effort by the entire team. Everyone showed up, everyone contributed.

Tonight was the exact opposite. Nobody had any spark. The best players on the ice were Martinook and Robinson. Aho was complete ass and should have been benched. He got tossed from the FO circle how many times?

A season long 7-game home-stand against average and below teams. Time to take advantage and create some point difference in a tight division. Instead, 3-3 with one more game.

Aho hit his level as a player 3 years ago and has regressed.  He isn’t going to take this team to the next level.  It’s time to find a 1c

    • I think DJ will always catch some heat because he will never be an elite WR, despite having elite attributes. I remember that when he was here. We all saw Steve Smith play for years, so we know what a truly elite WR looks like. DJ was never that. Now, is he a very, very good WR? Yes. Is he one of the best 15-20 WR's in the NFL year in and year out? I would say yes, as well. But he will always get some doubters because he is the tier below the truly elite WR's. I do agree, though. Would love to still have it. Would love to have reversed that trade immediately. Especially with the benefit of hindsight the way we have now. It's way more painful from that view.
    • No, he never threw 8 tds in a game.  I feel like we're splitting hairs and are describing the exact same situation, but you're looking through the lens of recency bias.  Either way, the original point remains the same.  CJ Stroud is still far better than Bryce Young.
    • You mean the 4 INT game in 2004? That's cool but he threw 8 TD's in the game prior. Also, I definitely never saw him looking like Stroud did. Anyone who watched those two games knows how incredibly lucky Stroud was to have only 8 TO's. I never saw Peyton Manning in a single game just panic and throw up prayers to no one. Not a couple of times but repeatedly. That was basically a worse version of Sam Darnold seeing ghosts.
