All you had to do was beat a 3-10 team ONCE

If the Saints had Shough starting all season they'll probably be leading this division.

They clearly have the best defense of the 4 teams.

Their offense was the problem early on which better QB play of late has improved that.

I don't agree. They just have a tremendously better coaching staff than ours. They consistently outcoach us.

That was me earlier this week, and that's why I'm not even mad about this loss. We had our chance, we controlled our own destiny, we had an extra week to prepare, we literally had the division crown handed to us on a silver platter and we choked. We simply aren't ready to be big dogs.

Ngl, regardless of who the coach or QB was, I felt weird about it as soon as I knew what we were facing coming out of the bye.  I don’t know what the stats are, but i feel like historically we have been pretty bad coming out of bye weeks.  Under Canales, my fear is even further exacerbated because the team already looks unprepared most weeks as it is.

Honestly a fair debate. They have had arguably a top 10 D the entire year. Rattlesnake was just that bad

They are a very talent deficient team overall. They are much closer to their record than their games against us.

We are also much closer to their record than being a playoff caliber team.

Id argue they aren't far from the talent we have. Outside of oline, they may have better talent at just about every other position

Yeah, we are also one of the most talent deficient teams in the NFL.

No doubt. They see blood in the water against us.

I wonder how many people thought we'd have 2-3 wins this year at the beginning of the season and are now bitching because they aren't winning every game?  The team is young.  They are growing.  We still have some holes to fill, but it's a decent team.  They have the number of wins and loses they deserve

Sucks we lost, but the saints have been competitive in a fair amount of their losses to teams better than us.

Most annoying part of this game is we were up 10 then went prevent offense and defense...

They had multiple sacks after going up ten; and multiple fourth down attempts.

the panthers did nothing different than they normally do. They just didn’t get any turnovers today. Exchange for exchange that’s the panthers: they can score about 14-17 points, and will give up about that much against equal competition.

Panthers offense isn’t good enough to win a game on its own because of the qb.

    • Btw... only Mitch fugging Marner has a better +/- than Key 🔑!!! And, Mitchy needed 5 more games and almost 100 more shifts to get there.
    • I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.
    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
