You act like he is going to fill that slight frame out and suddenly grow 2 inches to be the same height (yes I know Brycey is WWE billed height at 5'10 but its obvious they measured his hair 🤣🤣 he's 5'8 on a good day I've met him at training camp myself I'm just a shade over 6'0 barefoot and he comes up to the bottom of my chin.

Getting older also isn't gonna magically make him grow a pair of balls.

I mean his own coach just blew up the narrative that he was big enough and wasnt limiting the play calling.  His own coach, who like I said earlier, has some some wacky ass poo all year.

If he was 5'9 and 180 lbs he wouldn't be a NFL tight end because he isn't capable of playing the position to its maximum potential due to physical limitations. Catching a pass is irrelevant because he is physically incapable of performing half of the position requirements.

Metaphorical comparisons never seem to land successfully in this forum 😄

I love the idea of signing Howell but I doubt it involves any chance to win the starting job.

I mean we are limited in our options realistically, Howell is a Baker esque player who put up 4k and 22tds in his one year starting... with no weapons and a horrible oline. Oh I'm sure out the gates he wouldnt have a chance vs teppers golden brycey but if we stumble out he gates again Canales may injury list him again to try and save his job.

Don't know if I'd go that far.

It was still Reich in charge at the time (who I, like many, still believe would have preferred Stroud) and the phrase they kept using to describe Bryce was "point guard".

In football terms that translates to a West Coast style quarterback, which is what Bryce was (and is).

Play point guard while throwing to…

in 2023:

Mingo - bust. Hurt/hasn’t done a thing in Dallas. Well on his way out of league

Chark - no longer in league

Hurst - no longer in league

Marshall - hasn’t done a thing

Sullivan/Strachan - pretty much same dude. Both not playing

Thielen - hasn’t done a damn thing since he left Carolina

Miles Sanders - nothing

2024:

Legette - rookie WR who still has no idea what he’s doing

Mingo - see above

Coker - when he did play/healthy he was solid

Thielen - see above

Sanders - bust

Diontae Johnson - headache. Out of league. Failed on 12 teams in 2024

There’s more names but again all irrelevant and doing nothing in the league. This is the crap and turnover Bryce has dealt with the first two seasons. Given the type of QB Bryce is he stood no chance with these guys. We’re finally seeing improvement because there’s some consistency at least now. It would be nice if we could get Bryce a tight end worth a Damn so he could use the middle of the field more often. Plus we’ve had 10 different OL combinations this season as well or something absurd

What an absolute disaster this has been since the trade up.

Agreed like I said I hope we sign a QB in the offseason like Winston or Howell who can actually run Cannales offense without handcuffs I think a lot of DCs problems stem from not being able to do what he wants and being so handicapped play calling wise that he "out smarts himself"

Eehhh, again not really.

Canales said he doesn't like using Bryce in QB sneaks due to his size. It's a stretch to call that , "limiting the playbook".

All that said, bring back Robert Hunt, get a better center next season, keep the rest of the line healthy... hell, I'd volunteer to trot my cane using / sub 200 pound / damn near 60 year old ass under center for a sneak 😄

(Canales probably wouldn't put me in though)

A big part of my interest in Howell is skill set. He's best suited for the kind of WCO style attack we use.

I don't think the team would give him a shot to start barring injury, but you can never say what'll happen.

(had Drew Bledsow stayed healthy, Tom Brady might be back in Michigan coaching high school football)

You're referring to the guy who not long ago got stung by the criticism of how many different coaches he'd been through in a short cycle?

The same guy who also not much more than a week ago went on record saying he really loved what he saw Dan Morgan and Dave Canales building here?

That David Tepper?

Okay, sure 😕

Lemme guess: Is David Tepper sitting right next to you in the room again?

Saying the right things in front of the camera at a holiday event for kids....doesn't mean poo lol

We have 2 pro sports teams and his business dealings to actually judge Tepper off of.  Nothing says he is going to let a losing coaching (with no history of doing anything) start from scratch at year 4.  And again, that extends way beyond Tepper to other teams at that point.   Coaches don't get that sort of time in today's world.

you just want to argue things at this stage because none of that is rooted in what we know if Tepper.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Invested since 2023 to try and make brycey successful.....

2 first round WRs  including a top ten pick

1 2nd round WR

2 highest at signing paid offensive guards

67% OF THE TEAMS TOTAL SALARY CAP INVESTED ON OFFENSE.

Completly disregarding Theilin who was 32 at the time of signing and produced well for us because hes fallen of a cliff at age 36 is ridiculous.

Same goes for Dionte Johnson he was a threat when he played.

Indeed, and thats the thing he exells at the hybrid west coast spread/ air coryell PA shots that Canalles likes to take.

And hes was trying to be slick glossing over the guys who had success.

Tbh Diontae Johnson was the perfect WR for brycey if he hadn't been a headcase he turned a ton of bryces 2 yarders into 1sts.

Tepper is not and should not let dan and dave roll the dice on another qb for their 4rth year especially after Dan was involved with bryce and if the 5th is picked up before may.   Tepper will simply be like "why didnt you upgrade in the off season if this was an issue......bye"
