For as much as some of you are classifying DT as a need, I think it's in the rest of the bucket with everything besides OT. Still, I think that there has to be someone that warrants the pick for us to pick him.

Probably not, but they're still hoping that he grows into a legit starter. It's year three.

The current plan is for him to go into this season wearing the green dot and being on the field for a super high snap count. 

 

The team completely (along with the players) give him credit for the defenses improved play after he took over the green dot.

Well that's nice and all, but he's an awful player. If they're so impressed with him wearing the green dot then make him a coach.

He did green dot in 2024.  
I don’t question he may be a good dude and show some leadership. 

How long does it take someone to learn to find the ball and tackle the guy with the ball? Because that is where he sucks.

After he took over calling the defense he had 43 tackles, 2 sacks and 3 pd in 8 games. Not exactly bad numbers.

Maybe you are right about the coaches liking him. To me, he was the guy standing on the edge of the pile. Slow to get to the ball. Late to the party.

"Awful" seems a bit hyperbolic. He has made plays at times. He's just "awful" in coverage.

Lloyd next to Wallace gives them two lb that can blitz well and get sacks from inside as well as better coverage so they don't have to rely on Wallace to always drop into zone, they'll be able to get him downhill attacking the los more comparatively to what they did last year. Also adding Philips means Scranton sees less double teams and should open him up as a pass rusher and allows them to bring Princely on the field on obvious passing downs to rush the passer because they can move Phillips down onto the line in those situations. 

 

So on obvious passing downs the front seven will probably look like this majority of the time.

With all these signings addressing most of our needs, the only position I would not like to see in the 1st is a WR. If Makai Lemon happens to fall to 19, that would only hinder Coker's progress.

I have been listening to analysts, and receiver is surely in the mix (as well as it should be). X appears to be a bust, and people outside of the Huddle aren't looking at Coker as a sure-fire WR2. 

I think we're going BPA (and that's exactly what we should be doing).
