Bryce Not the Only QB Who Gets Grief

He was hired because there was no one that wanted the job. Tepper and Bryce Young in early 2024 after that 2023 season?
People they wanted to hire were ducking out of the way.

It was openly discussed that maybe we would need to hire one that wasn’t ready and let him grow into the job. And that is what they did.

Mike Vrabel wanted the job

No.  There are 32 head coaching jobs in the NFL. It's maybe the most premium position in all of sports, other than starting QB in the NFL.

The idea "noone wanted the job" is laughable, and if true, says way more about how far behind this franchise is.

I believe players dont want to come here because of who we are and the city, which is why we just overpaid Phillips.  But coaches / grownups don't care about that stuff.

This team made a massive mistake hiring Canales, and until they fix it, we will be 8-9 at best.

No? Lol. As if you have a clue.
Get back to me when you escape that cloud of delusion. The people Tepper wanted to hire wanted nothing to do with job. poo is documented.

When one of the conditions is Bryce has to be your ride or die, you can't adjust and adapt. Bryce being the guy was a condition from the get go.

This is conjecture. The article simply says Vrabel had no interest in coaching the Panthers. There wasn't a reason given.

If Dave Canales drafts Allar, it will cement what I already know about him being an absolute fraud as an "offensive genius".

They should contact you before making any personnel decisions.

I would have been great with him. The ground rules though, were the coach comes from offense. And the latest trend was playcaller so that too. And Bryce is our QB.

I am not throwing Canales a parade right now, at all. However, for the sake of argument, if results are the final arbiter? He came in not ready for the job and in year two, technically, they were a division champ. So whatever you think of him, he has some ammo for his cause.
This year should tell a lot with the reorganization of offensive chain of command and Bevell on board.

    • Apparently CSW lost his starting job to Thornton last year. If he can stay healthy I bet Thornton keeps that NB position.
    • I member him staying after practices with only to see he was wearing heavy weight vest, one of his trademarks. He also put in 10 years, right? People forget he was the ST stud that called the snap and made sure everyone lined up right. He was one of the "glue" guys that bought his "lunch pail" to work.... He was a willing solider, all teams need a couple of them. He blocked for sooo many panthers RBs- Davis, lane, Williams, foster, goings and when there was huge injuries he took over the starter duties and had a couple 100 yard games. If you followed hoover, he took the perfect RB path cause he was just a slow heavy one himself....
    • Walker likely depends on a couple of things. What exactly did Dan promise him, to start with.  How much other interest he actually had for a starter job at high pay is another question. It isn’t outside the realm of possibility that he could stay on as a swing tackle waiting to take Moton’s spot when it opens.    I can’t get myself to consider Icky as a viable anything until we see him back on the field.     Hunt seems to be a team player and good guy but I don’t think he is worth what he is being paid. I have him tentatively earmarked for cap causality in the near future.
