Gonna be interesting to watch. All reporting indicates he's gonna be out. From what I'm hearing he's out. The interesting part will be what happens next. The job has been staying within the "family" since Dean retired. But there's no one within the family that makes any sense at all right now. They'll have to go outside the family to hire a coach that's likely to be successful and tension between the school and the basketball family is already high right now with this plot to move the arena to Carolina North because the folks within the basketball family want it to stay at the Dean Dome and they feel misled because they feel like there was never any real consideration of revamping the Dean Dome and this whole evaluation process was just meant to make it look like that was being considered. The best outcome here IMO is that we hire a great coach from outside the family and we revamp the Dean Dome as an olive branch to the family. But the powers that be REALLY want a new arena at Carolina North.

Some one on the radio was saying Jerry Stackhouse was coaching,  I say just get the best coach available.

Loved Stack as a player (loved Hubert as a player too)

But Stack went 70-92 at Vanderbilt and they've gone 20-13 and 27-9 in their two seasons since firing him.

So with all due respect to a player I love, no fuging thanks.

If they keep him now the fans will revolt.  Hiring Stackhouse would be a step back IMO.  I know he is old and has a job but I would love Billy Donovan.

Yeah, they let these rumors grow way too much legs to reel it back in now. If a split wasn't imminent they needed to respond immediately with a strong message of support for Hubert. Because you can bet our current players and next years recruits are already hearing from other programs. This doesn't need to be drawn out. We need to get it resolved ASAP or the new guy is really gonna be behind the eight ball by the time he signs his contract.

I just listened to TJ Oltzawhatever from Iowa State do an in-game interview.  If I had to listen to him talk for an entire season, we could be 35-0 and I'd still want to fire him.

I want to post a few choice lines, its past time Davis needs firing..... get with the times UNC, dook has filled up the NBA with ballers and UNC is hang on to Vince Carter playing his 28th season. These kids do not care about Michael Jordan or Phil Ford or Big game James....If there not been a super player in the last four years, they could care less. So sad about the current state, get rid of the coaching bum!

Bro, it's the single biggest brand of shoes in the world, especially for young kids and hoopers.

This is a silly take, and Jordan being completely absent from this program is why we are losers.
