Gonna be interesting to watch. All reporting indicates he's gonna be out. From what I'm hearing he's out. The interesting part will be what happens next. The job has been staying within the "family" since Dean retired. But there's no one within the family that makes any sense at all right now. They'll have to go outside the family to hire a coach that's likely to be successful and tension between the school and the basketball family is already high right now with this plot to move the arena to Carolina North because the folks within the basketball family want it to stay at the Dean Dome and they feel misled because they feel like there was never any real consideration of revamping the Dean Dome and this whole evaluation process was just meant to make it look like that was being considered. The best outcome here IMO is that we hire a great coach from outside the family and we revamp the Dean Dome as an olive branch to the family. But the powers that be REALLY want a new arena at Carolina North.

Loved Stack as a player (loved Hubert as a player too)

But Stack went 70-92 at Vanderbilt and they've gone 20-13 and 27-9 in their two seasons since firing him.

So with all due respect to a player I love, no fuging thanks.

Yeah, they let these rumors grow way too much legs to reel it back in now. If a split wasn't imminent they needed to respond immediately with a strong message of support for Hubert. Because you can bet our current players and next years recruits are already hearing from other programs. This doesn't need to be drawn out. We need to get it resolved ASAP or the new guy is really gonna be behind the eight ball by the time he signs his contract.

I want to post a few choice lines, its past time Davis needs firing..... get with the times UNC, dook has filled up the NBA with ballers and UNC is hang on to Vince Carter playing his 28th season. These kids do not care about Michael Jordan or Phil Ford or Big game James....If there not been a super player in the last four years, they could care less. So sad about the current state, get rid of the coaching bum!

Its 2026 brother and a whole new game, it hasn't made a difference in the last 20+ years. I mean it did to stack house and Vince, but we are talking 90s....... these new kids do not care, I bet not one of the last 40 or so came to UNC cause of MJ. its a different world, Davis didn't even ask for commish until it was too late. last firmware update is from 1999....

You're saying the same thing as I said.  Until Jordan becomes an active part of recruiting and funding, this school will continue to fall way behind. 

But to say Michael Jordan or the Jordan brand doesn't matter anymore, which is what you said, is flat out wrong.

      I have not learnt my lesson and will always want Uber athletic profiles. Sorry, Im a whore about it.... Im not the right guy to defend Kenyon, I just have a understanding with this years draft, numbers, and panthers roster. He is more of "upside/project" and we are talking 19th pick here too.  I know about the years of all the mock drafts with TEs in them and I did want Pitts too.... Look I love the current TEs on the roster too, just this guy should be better than any of them at their best.  Right now I feel OT is the correct target, but panthers as a org are trying to win in 2026 than 2027. So tea leaves and all, Kenyon would help this year. You can even say flex him to slot for most of the snaps and think of tmac on smoke routes with Kenyon blocking for him. I just hate BY is the shooter..... warren, I would say he's the better prospect even without his rookie year, *but he was late bloomer like XL if Im right, plus age was 25ish?? Bears picked love above him, mainly cause of recs.  You can make a case that Kenyon is not a TE, but a moving weapon for offense that can be in the backfield, on the LOS, slot, and even X.... imean he's got XLs combine on some numbers.... He would be better to a offense mad scientist type...is that Dave? or is that bevell?? I think the Panthers should have him as a 19 pick, with others...
