Otzelberger recommited to Iowa St.

Oats the same with Alabama

Stevens declined

Arizona is in the process of locking down Lloyd with a new deal.

If my understanding is correct it's between Lloyd and Donovan already.

Pretty good chance that Lloyd stays in Arizona and that leaves Billy Donovan

See.... I've been quite adamant from the start that I thought Donovan would end up with the job and if he says no, it goes to UNC's tier 2 list that starts with Byington.

Edit to add.

It's not like they didn't come close to getting Lloyd to jump, he had been talking to the school and had an offer worth 8m+ a season.

Lloyd just created leverage for himself to get the best possible situation. He saw UNC as the better job, but if you can get a massive raise at Arizona and basically be the Nick Saban of Arizona answering to no one, I mean... yeah, that's a sweet deal. I'd stay put too. I'd rather be the unquestioned king of Arizona basketball than the head coach of UNC basketball.

If he wins the natty, he's 100% gone to UNC. People close to the Arizona program 100% believe he'll take the UNC job if he wins the championship at Arizona.

So, when you give reports and data at your job, and you tell your boss, "it's 100%", are you guys working on a make-believe scale of 200% so you have room for errors?

You saying "people close to the Arizona program" makes you sound like you're an insider.  When it turns out you're just a dummy posting on the internet, like me.

Look above for my original post before information started coming out of Arizona and yes there was information coming out from the school that he was leaving but then they gave him everything that he wanted... poo changes and I just post what I hear. Take it or leave it.

Exactly, he went back to Arizona "because he's a West Coast guy" and they gave him everything that he wanted. Not much you can do at that point as another school.

I'm honestly not sure how much "west coast" plays into it. There's a huge difference between Tucson, AZ and Spokane, WA where he spent the previous two decades of his career. Chapel Hill is significantly different than Spokane but way more similar to it than Tucson. You're talking about a pretty significant plane ride to get back home either way. He and his family would be flying private and direct so we're talking about a 3ish hour flight vs. a 5ish hour flight. That's basically a wash. It's not like he went from Gonzaga to another PNW program. Tucson is a dramatic departure from Washington state. Honestly a far bigger departure climatically and scenery wise than Chapel Hill would be.
