It seems like a lot of teams are starting to dump good quality DT's so far this year, I honestly hope we don't use the 1st overall pick on a DT and that we can sign a good vet DT for a couple years. What do you guys think?

LOL, he would still be an upgrade over anything we have on the roster right now and he has ties to Rivera...

Bears also dumped Hunter Hillenmeyer and Kevin Shaffer.

I imagine the team would probably ask Eric Washington what he thinks of Harris.

Skins are also set to release Clinton Portis (and that'd be a "no" before anyone asks).

I maybe wrong but i did hear that Harris was planning on retiring this year.

Heard that right after the playoff loss, due to injuries.

Wouldn't bet on him starting if he comes here. More likely backup/rotation/veteran mentor.

Again though, I think Eric Washington's opinion will be important in that question.

Ron Rivera connection, had his best years under him as DC. You know Rivera will vouch for him. Not saying whether its a good or bad move, it just makes sense.

And I guess that's what I would want, it gets old when a starter goes down and we have some scrub ass cast off from some other teams practice squad playing for us, looking out of posistion and lost. I would like to see Harris here as well as Hillenmeyer but Harris for sure... Our DT area is just a joke, can you imagine if we filled it up with Harris and either Rodgers, Henderson, or Stroud? The rest of our D can hold their own and we would instantly become better as a whole.
