At some point we gotta stop drafting pure RAS. It hasn't been working for us. That approach came with Fitts. I hope he reverses the trend of elite athletes busting for us but Freeling has the 2nd highest RAS in RAS history for OTs. Ironically the one time we said "fug RAS, we have conviction about this guy" it was to draft Bryce Young who probably had the lowest RAS in QB history.

I think we stay put... any of Hill, Rodriquez, or CJ Allen would be fine with me if we go LB. Although I would be a little ticked off if the Bucs get Rodriguez.

In Dan Morgan’s first two seasons as the GM he has traded up in the 2nd round every year. In ‘24 for Jonathon Brooks and ‘25 for Nic Scouton.
It’s almost a guarantee he trades up today again

He traded back though to get the ammo to go get Brooks.
And without looking, I think the 2nd round pick we moved out of for Scourton came in that same original trade down.  (Rams?)  I could be wrong on that one.

Also his first two years we were not drafting from 19 either.  8 and 1. The dynamics are much different now.

I think too many times in recent history we have drafted athletes rather than football players. The results tend to bear that out. I think it might go higher than GM though. Crazy Al Davis was in love with speed, because it couldn't be coached.
