Rueben Bain - the guy that's going to wreck our OLine for the next 5+ years.

How does that make sense though? We can’t “let someone fall” to a team that picks ahead of us

Bain was a great prospect and I think is going to be good, and I hate that he went to an NFCS team but he is nowhere close to generational prospects like Myles Garrett or Julius Peppers.

If he was there at 19 with monroe that would be a tough conversation but probably end with bain he is a beast but I am not trading up for him

Did you read the article? It's all about trading and navigating the Draft...

Yup, whole thing. I’m just saying it’s not possible to “let a player fall” to a team in front of you. If you consider trading up for a player ahead of another team but decide not to, you’re not “letting the player fall”, you’re just deciding not to trade up yknow?

letting a player “fall” requires the ability to pick the player which we never had

We were in no position to mortgage our near term future to block a team from a player that high in the draft order.

This is like, worrying about the things you can’t control.

He fell to 15. We picked at 19. It became doable and I think we'll regret sitting on our hands.

You honestly think Tampa would have traded down with a division rival so their rival could land a “generational player” at a massive position of need for TB?

bruh

No.  His small hands, short height, very short arms (30 7/8), and killing his passenger while reckless driving at 4:00 am (although maybe that doesn't matter anymore-see James Pearce) are too risky to trade up for someone in a position you used #51 and #71 in last years draft and spent 120M on a FA for only to leave your oline as a big problem. Also, trading up would have cost us an additional 4 and a 5.  Bucs had one fall to them but so did we.
