Bears at Panthers week 1

If playoffs Mike Jack and Coker show up and Scourton has his coming out game, Panthers by 7. If it’s a customary Panthers opening day and they look completely lost and unprepared, it’s Bears by 17.

Weirdly, preseason game #1 has been prophetical of what’s to come over the last several years.

If Young doesn’t get significant playing time in the preseason….we will more than likely lose by double digits.

Well we have 4 preseason games this year. They can run it like it used to be run by everybody.

If it is a mansion it was built off of selling on Bryce.

My narrative here is that Williams is going g to better in 2026 than he was in 2025 because second year in the system

Same as why Bryce was  better last year in his second year in the system.

With a proven top offensive coach working with him.

Man he already has made eye popping throws that Bryce can only dream of ever making.  The guy has a ton of talent why wouldn’t he be better with another year…

Cause improvement is linear. And that’s Caleb MO. For every crazy play Caleb made he missed about 5 easy throws. I also think losing Moore is gonna hurt him.

Yeah maybe he will miss Moore some.  But Moore poisoned the well with Williams by being so outspoken in his support of Fields. I thought.

As far as Williams what I see is his ceiling is almost unlimited and his floor is too low.  He has a league wide respected offensive mind shaping him and has to find a way to cut out the bonehead.
To compare him to Bryce, Bryce’s ceiling is nowhere near Williams’ and his floor also needs raising. I won’t try to say how much because I haven’t seen every Williams game for years.
But Bryce had many games of sub par play last year that if he expects to get an extension he has to fix. And he has to clear the hurdle of teams forcing us to beat them with his arm.

I feel like Williams has what it takes to take over games and I do not feel that way about Bryce.

As far as the teams I believe our defense faces a bigger challenge than theirs will.  Unless we really have that running game going.
