Loved hearing about TD talking about players like Beason, Kris Jenkins, Peppers, Kuechly, etc.  You can tell he really enjoyed playing with those defenses.

Glad Ryan Clark gave TD that advice/wisdom at the end about his kids/divorce.  I've watched the TikTok stories from TD's daughter and you can tell she's extremely disappointed.  I'm sure his ex-wife is hella disappointed as well.  TD needs to be extremely patient and not react to how they're reacting.

Very true and it's amazing how fast certain pain killers can get you hooked.

I was prescribed dilaudid following my tonsillectomy. Nothing helped the phantom ear pain and I could deal with the throat pain so I just stopped taking them after a few days and sucked it up and dealt with it.

That experience did show me a true understanding of how someone could be going through the type of chronic pain that would make them just want to end it all. If days 3-8 or so post-tonsillectomy if you're among the unlucky few that end up with the head splitting phantom ear pain was your long-term prognosis... yeah, it's time to just punch the clock.

One of the all-time greatest Panthers.  We were so honored to watch TD and Luke play together.  Probably one of the greatest LB duos to play the game.

You could feel the passion he had for the game and the way he approached the game.

I remember many of the huddlers wanting to give up on TD.  JR wouldn't do it and we should be eternally grateful to JR for believing in TD.

I love the story about Fred Smoot.  I happen to be at that game.  Smitty ruined his career and to hear TD talk about how really great Smitty was.

After this video I admire him even more.

One additional thing that I don't like about the NFL is that there are people that put you in a position and don't really care about the outcome. (Talking about the medication that lead to his suspension) I lbelieve TD had no clue what they were doing to him.

God Bless TD and once again one of my all-time favorite players.

Pills and shots were pretty big in the ‘70s, as far as the public finding out about the seedier side of pro football.  Check out the movie North Dallas Forty it is a plot line. If you haven’t.

They have gone full corporate/deep state mode and whitewashed that stuff from the public consciousness but I would bet the players (and coaches and trainers) are well aware of the pill and needle solution that lets them stay on the field through injury and keep that big contract.

The story is the same we just don’t hear it much anymore.
I am not judging TD over that though I would have done the same thing probably. Whatever it takes….
