A little over a day left to get a new CBA done. Well, that's not entirely accurate. In 2006 they extended the then current CBA a week because they were close enough to get it ironed out. So, there is very little possibility of the thing being done by tomorrow.

....But, if we hear they are extending the current CBA by a week or two you know they are close and barring a last second change there will be no lockout.

so...because I don't know...ya...that's right, I in fact don't know everything so fug you ok...get off my back you mother fuger....anyway....if the deal is not even close and the current contract expires without an extension, does this automagically mean a lock out for sure, and if so, does it wipe the entire season???

or...do they still have the ability to let the current contract expire, keep working and salvage all/part of the season??

kthanxbye

Good guy to listen to on these issues is Muhsin Muhammad. He used to work as a player rep. And while yes, he tends to approach it from a player's perspective, he has a better understanding of the issues involved than most of the guys covering the NFL.

    • After watching Dan for 3 yrs now, I think I understand his plan. It’s a simple plan that should work for the long run.     I saw some of this last yr. Dan wants a vet and a young player at each position. I really think we go OT if one they like there. Moton is aging, Icky will not be back until 27, if ever. We need to get ahead of the tackle problem
    • You are just stressing too much about these particular positions. You want to upgrade from Bryce and I understand that but you aren’t going to really get that without getting into a bidding war for a QB2 potential QB1 like Willis. You could possibly trade for Mills or the backup for Chicago but they are still gambles and their teams will won’t decent picks.  Again the Eagles thought KP was a capable enough backup to trade for him once their backup was hurt and won a Super Bowl with him as QB2. The point is most teams aren’t rolling with some stud QB2/3 that is going to push even a bottom tier starter. They are better off the building their roster in other areas. The Rams are rolling with Bennett right now as QB2 for example.  The goal is winning absolutely. We overachieved last year even with stumbling into the playoffs. Another year and this staff needs to take the next step in building a team. Will Grier has little to no impact on that….
    • Three straight first round WRs is straight up Matt Millen poo. Considering the draft capital we have tied up on Bryce after that trade we would basically have spent damn near all of our draft capital in recent years on QB and WR just to put one of the most anemic passing offenses in the league on the field. Clown show poo.
