Beason: Cam For No.1, Has "It" Factor

Didn't Zod recently start a thread for this kind of talk?

Or is trolling just a knee-jerk reaction?

Naw--Not Beason. He is Black, and blue, and silver. It ain't about race to him.

Beason's point is the best argument for Cam I have heard. If he checks out, and the coaches/scouts/GM screen him and are willing to put their necks out, then, and only then, will I embrace the pick. And if we pick him, that doesn't mean the huggers were right. I means they will be given the opportunity to have their opinions proven.

Still, this is a player making a comment, no more.

Turrible, just turrible.

No, he said that Newton wouldn't be running over NFL defenders the way he did at Auburn.

Oh, I agree with that. I don't think Newton would be able to scoot around Ray Lewis, James Harrison, etc... as well as he did at Auburn in the SEC but I still believe he will be able to make plays with his feet if he can develop a passing game like Big Ben.

This is one of my reasons I like Cam. If and only if Cam can develop into the passer that Big Ben is (the guy that people comapre him to) than I believe he will be one hell of a player because he is leaps and bounds ahead of Ben based on pure athleticism and in regards to agility and speed, well Cam wins that decision to hands down. Now if Ben can tear up the Ravens based just on his passing game, well then I would love to see a guy that can pass like Ben and run like Vick take the NFL by storm.

Why isn't he advocating for Andy Dalton? Ricki Stanzi? McElroy? Tolzein?

I know why he is not advoctating for Dalton or McElroy. Red on the head racism.

Also, I am here to announce that I am now on the Cam Newton bandwagon. He is worth the risk.

Back to work.

Good thing Beason didn't go to Auburn. Btw the Panthers don't even have a guy on their team that went to Auburn if I'm not mistaken. (Not that means anything)

Neither Auburn nor Alabama, though that could change in either direction come April.

Also, at the moment South Carolina has more Panthers than UNC (three to two).

It's risk vs. reward my friend.

Worst Draft Pick ever vs. Best Draft Pick ever

I personally take a chance because I believe the Panthers have the staff in place to make this work. What was it that Rivera said he was looking for in his staff..."teachers" all Cam needs is a teacher to transform him into an amazing NFL QB.

    • I didn't move the goal posts. But anyone who follows football who wants to engage in a rational discussion can't argue that 10 7th round picks are equal to 10 1st rounders in value. The argument has always been we haven't spent as much on defense has we have on offense. Draft picks have value just like salary. We have not spent the same amount of draft pick salary cap on defense that we have on offense since drafting Bryce. It's not even close. Just the 2 1sts we used on Bryce, 2 overall 1sts have a value of 6000. That doesn’t even factor in DJ Moore or the 2 2nds. Bryce cost more than everything we've spent on defense in 6 damn years.
    • We need to hope this scenario plays our next week he fails with pressure…what that means with Evero, is beyond me
    • Woukd be a great addition You know the issues from my prespective, 2 things the Panthers must do 1. Edge or pass rushers or 2 oline or 3 oline or as Andy Reid says, when in doubt, draft a lineman it is time   That oline is troubling plus a small person at QB  they   1. Can do a lot better than mayes at center, 2. and lewis has had injuries all season. 3. Moton should not have  been resigned long term, 4. corbett is a shadow and will probably be released  5 and Christianson coming off Achilles   6 and the kicker, would be Ickey’s contract if they decide to keep him INMO rookie and contracts will be needed to offset all that
