Here's a "what if"

So the Panthers have signed Jeremy Shockey, a guy most of us would never have expected during the Fox era.

Suppose that's not the only "unexpected" move this offseason.

How would you feel if, for example, the Panthers made a move for someone like...Randy Moss?

Well with randy .. i wouldn't be too thrilled with it giving how hes lost that "it" factor teams are comfortable with putting number 2's on him now because if he cant catch it in stride he just gives up , but on the defensive side to see a top corner brought in or making a trade for a guard on offense or something like that .. that would be a change to be excited over

I'm all for anything but the "it is what it is" status quo BS we've gotten from Fox the last 4 years or so.

That pertains to any moves they could possibly make, even a new on field photographer if necessary.

Moss though? Not sure if that's the kind of risk I'd like to see them take.

this

I have no problem with them bringing in players that we wouldn't have necessarily seen in the Fox era... but no Moss or TO please. This team needs an "edge" to it that we haven't had in a while...

and this; especially the bolded. Don't want Moss...he's pretty much done in this league. He's washed up

    • It goes deeper than that for me. When I started watching the Panthers as a kid I fell in love with Mark Fields’ story during that SB run. He wore #58. Then TD wore it and kept the tradition of the being the soul of the Panthers. The next time someone wears #58 I hope brings that same spirit
    • T-Mac is a nickname, Tet is a shortening of Tetairoa. Like you said below... your name is Jonathan, I could see "Jonny" being considered a nickname, but Jon isn't a nickname, it's a shortening of Johnathan, see the difference? And if your mom named you Jonathan for it's biblical significance/meaning, because she was very religious, I think it would be different. T-Mac is Polynesian, so much in their culture has deeper meaning for them, particularly names.  So for his mom to feel this way, I highly doubt it's just because she likes the name Tetairoa and not Tet, it's much more likely than not to be because the name itself has a deeper meaning in their culture.   Particularly as T-Mac himself has often talked about how much his Polynesian heritage means to himself and his family. And no, I'm not saying all this because of how much he's my guy, if he was just "normal american" and his name was Jonathan and he didn't like fans calling him Jon, I'd probably just say tough poo.  It's that he's Polynesian and I know things like names have a much deeper meaning in their culture than they do in ours for the most part. For whatever it's worth, a quick google search.......
