He looked bad when he was on the field. Returning punts and making simple catches don't require coaching. Especially when you are supposed to be such a natural athlete.

However he didn't get playing time so i will wait until he gets a few decent reps

Maybe JF is right about Edwards. But in all his years of coaching, John Fox never drafted and developed any significant element of a passing game. When it comes to defense and running the ball, I respect what Fox says. When it comes to anything related to a passing game, I don't. I have my own doubts about Edwards (and Clausen for that matter), but I will wait and see what the new coaching staff says.

Converting from QB to wide receiver/pr returner definitely does require some coaching, as well as simple experience.

I don't believe this BS about Fox refusing to coach a player. He's a bigger man than that, regardless of what some fans think or what some "insider" ( AKA, Marty Hurney) said.

And as far as him being more outspoken...he has always been that way in the off season. Have none of you ever listened to his off season interviews before? He is like this every single year on "Moving The Chains". It's only when the season starts that he clams up to reporters. How in the hell can any Panthers fan not know that by now?
