Does everybody here at the very least agree that Clausen sucks?

Awesomeness!!

And who worked with the first team in camp and pre season? Who was not a rookie?

Clausen still had the higher QB rating for the year. And it was all mop up duty.

QB rating?

Camp starters? You mean Jarrett and LaFell? Guys that didn't actually play in games? You're right he had such a head start with all the new guys

Comon man. It's really not even close between the two but Moore trying to make something happen against the Bears and Armanti dropping a pass make it look close between the two.

Moore could actually move the offense. Sure he turned it over but at least the defense got a little break and someone other than Goodson got to touch the ball on offense.

Moore did squat. Outside of your imagination, he was a mediocre-at-best fourth year pro who couldn't outperform a rookie. I don't know why you have such a crush on him, but it's entertaining so please keep it up. :)

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm simply a fan of the best QB on our roster.

When that changes, I"ll support whoever the best QB is.

Moore threw more TDs in 2.75 games than Clausen threw in 10+?

Offense averaged more than a TD more when Moore was starting?

And a ton of INTs more. Moore sucked, just like Clausen. The only difference is that Clausen was a rookie, and has a better chance to improve.

Best case scenario for the Panthers is that they grab Newton, he's for real, and Clausen starts a bunch of games next year while they groom him. In those games, Clausen shows that he can play QB in this league, and we get a decent draft pick for him once Newton has adjusted to the pro game.

And in the most realistic scenario, we draft defense, Moore is brought back along with a vet so no one ever has to hear Clausen's name again, they call it an "open competition" but give Jimmy the first reps of the camp to appear as if they have interest in him meanwhile Rivera and Chud are trying to hold back laughter. Moore wins the camp job and plays at a level closer to what we saw in 2009 and everyone here forgets they ever had a mean thing to say about him. Clausen ends up coaching HS football with his brothers where he gets caught taking unnecessary ice baths with an unsuspecting sophomore but since it's a private school they just turn the other cheek.

Twelve years down the road he gets promoted to Offensive Coordinator of the HS team and ESPN does a story on how they have the best QB in the country since the last best QB ever and it slightly resembles the fighter.

nope, I dont think he sucks at all. Actually hes a very good qb. Hes a victim of circumstance. You can not judge a rookie based on his rookie season. Its just not pratical. Especially a qb since the learning curve is so big. Clausen will do better under new management. I gurarentee it. If the team did not still believe in Clausen. We would already have a new GM.

What happens to Tony Pike in your fantasy-land?

He's sent packing.

If the FO didn't have to try and save face, they would cut Clausen and keep Pike around because I think his ceiling is actually higher than Clausen's.

I mean, the ceiling of my puppies' dog house his higher than Clausen's

Because for most of the year, there aren't a bunch of noobies flooding the board with their favorite draft prospect and we can actually talk football.

In May, maybe June, you guys will all be gone and the board will be back to normal.

Then I can focus all my energy back on the Clausen nuthuggers, those that are left.

P.S. Who uses the word "exiled" anymore?

what is funny is that before Clausen stepped on a field......everyone claimed he was in the best situation of any QB drafted in the 2010 draft. Clausen looked flat out pathetic and made everyone around him look horrible by handicapping almost everyone on the field......and NOW the spin is he was in a horrible scenario for a rookie.

Before the season started, he was in a great situation (other than having a certifiable retard as O-coordinator). Then O-linemen started getting hurt. Then RBs started getting hurt. By that point his great situation had deteriorated into a crappy situation for any QB.
