Who runs the grill?

SPRING IS IN FULL EFFECT! Sunny and mid 70s here with a forecast for more of the same. Gonna be grillin', playin cornhole, drinkin' beer, and havin' a damn good time as much as possible.

I do all the cooking at my crib. No matter if the girl is over or not.

Right now I am probably grilling about 4 or 5 times a week, and never over gas, always charcoal.

I don't use her hair dryer and she doesn't use my grill.

charcoal is nice, but just takes too much time for me to warrant using it. I have to many things to tend to day in and day out, and when I get home I want to eat. not wait around on a fire to get hot.

I can certainly understand that logic, however.

This time while the charcoal is heating up in the chimney is extra time for me to get down at least 2 more beers.

I have propane on one side and charcoal on the other. Based on time and food selection i can go both ways. I also have two grilling options

I man the grill on my days off and she cooks on it during the week if something needs grilling. Other than steak, (medium) I like most of my other foods well done and blackened but not burnt.

I grill steaks. My hubby does everything else.

Oh, ribs. I used to cook ribs, but I can't eat them anymore, so no one else is my house does, either.

I have always manned the grill. Charcoal definitely tastes better, but gas is the way to go when you don't have much time. However, leaving all the grease and meat droppings on the burners will compensate for some of the flavor loss.

Hmm....well I live on my own right now so I dont have a grill, its against the rules..

I have grilled in the past at my parents house, but my dad pretty much loves the grill. I mean, winter, summer, rain, snow....he's got something on the grill.

My pops has always been the cook in our house since gourmet cooking is his side hobby. He will come home and start dinner around 5 and we don't eat until about 7:30 or 8.....he's drinking cocktails throughout all of this :)

Sometimes he will even put something in the oven for a little bit and finish it off on the grill just to get that taste/flavor from the grill.

He buys little accessories too, like now we have one of those rotisserie thingies that you hook into the middle of the grill and you put the chicken on it and it spins it around and cooks it.

As far as my house goes.....Ive never really thought about it...I mean, I wouldn't mind doing it since steak is my favorite thing ever but I think its kinda sexy for your man to be grillin.

My gf loves how I smell after Ive been grilling. I've been thinking of just buying some liquid smoke and dabbing it on like cologne to see if that works
