The article makes a good point... Ware and Harrison are LB'ers in a 3-4, so essentially they are DE's compared to these other guys...

LB for Chiefs. From what I've seen of him, it seems his sole purpose is to rush the qb. I've only seen a little of him though, so ..eh.

Garbage, in my opinion you need to be much more of a consistent player to rack up tackles, rather than get sacks. Beason averages 135 tackles over his first four years, and 2 int's a season on top of that. At the end of the day the LB's with 15 sacks a year are pretty much DE's that just rush from an up position, other than that there is very little difference. The only one in my opinion that does both really well is James Harrison, every year he has over 10 sacks and over 100 tackles.

This should be broken up into 4-3 and 3-4 LB's. Most of the people above him are 3-4 LB's. Out of all the 4-3 LB's Brian Urlacher is the only one that shouldn't be ahead of Beason.

Nobody on that list can play sideline to sideline like Beason except Willis and maybe Jerod Mayo. Half of those guys are pass rushing 85% of the time, the list is flawed
