Memories you'll never forget

I'll always remember the night my dad died, when I was only 10 it was probably the most painful things I'll ever experience.

I'll always remember picking Grapes with my Grandpa in his grapevine,

I'll always remember being diagnosed with Crohn's Disease(inflammatory bowel disease) diminishing my hopes of ever entering the service.

I'll always remember getting my Drivers License.

I'll always remember my first car brand new (1999) Honda Accord.

I'll always remember my first Panthers game.

Those things are probably the things that'll probably always live with me, I also have a long life to live so that list will probably get bigger.

So, what's your list?

i'll always remember the day my grandfather died... i was little and working in the garden with him. i came in and while i was gone, he had a heart attack. i remember the ambulance pulling into the front yard and my mother kneeling down in the corner on an old chair praying her heart out. :(

i'll always remember cutting the head off of our chickens when we were little. tied them down to a log on it's end with two nails sticking out of it... body would drop off and my brother and i got to carry the heads with beak moving and eyes rolling/blinking all the way to the burn pile. then my dad cleaning the bird in a boiling hot tub of water

I'll always remember driving into work on Sept. 11, 2001 and listening to the radio. At the time, I listened to Ace & TJ during my morning drive. I can remember so sadly and clearly them describe the planes hitting. I'll always remember that whole day, frankly.

I'll always remember watching my son be born. Wowee! Amazing what a woman's body can do.

I'll always remember the day I met my future wife.

This one really hits home. My sister's ex-husband, father of her child, passed away earlier this week. He was just about to visit his son in Kentucky for Easter. Cops found him at his home. He had been dead for three or four days. Whole family is on edge wondering how to let my six-year old nephew know about everything.

My father had and aneurysm, fell into a coma for over 2 days, his lungs also started to collapse and he had and heart attack and died.

Para-sailing in Tampa Bay and looking down and seeing sharks and sea turtles through the crystal clear water

Surfing during a storm, falling during a drop in and being tossed around under the wave. Lost my barrings and didn't know which way was up so I sat there spinning around under water. Was the probably the first time I legitimately experienced fear and had a panic attack. Shook me up.

In all seriousness I wont forget the time my grandma died my dad had her on the speaker phone it was 2am with her crying out loud for him to be with her (he was 600 miles away) she was dieing of lung cancer and after several gut wrenching minutes of moans the phone was silent and the only sound was crying from my uncles and all who was with her at the time, she then died.

I'll never forget the night my grandfather died. He played baseball and coached high school baseball when he retired. They were doing a fundraiser for cancer at the local high school and he was in attendance. He bought a 50/50 raffle ticket and won a wood baseball bat that was commemorating the day. After he walked to the PA box to claim his prize he didn't feel well and went to sit at a nearby table and bench. He had an aneurysm and died on the way to the hospital.

I drove 10 hours straight through the night to get there after I heard. I carved his name in the wooden table where he last sat and I have the bat hanging in my living room.

I'll never forget the feeling of helplessness of being so far away.

9/11. I meant it when I said I would never forget.

    • I agree that roster construction is a bigger issue than Rod.  I don't know what coach behind the bench is winning this series.  We weren't even supposed to compete this year, but people are mad because we're getting swept in the ECF again.  If we lost in 7 last round people wouldn't feel that way.
    • And I won't even get into our forward lines... We have three legit forwards in aho, Svech, and Jarvis and a bunch of grinders. There is a reason why we have a hard time putting the puck in the net - nobody on this team knows how to shoot
    • I was more inclined to say fire rod last year than this year. I still think we are lacking significant talent on this team. Without chatty, our defense has old man burns who is washed, ghostbear who is a one-way player, orlov who makes numerous awful turnovers each game, a solid walker, and slavin. I think we are all definitely mad that nikishin didn't play, but we weren't winning this game with them anyway. The entire team came out flat, which is inexcusable at home down a game. If rod couldn't fire them up, I don't think any coach in the NHL does.  Florida is the worst possible matchup for us because they play very similar to us but are better at doing it. It sucks we're going to get swept, but I honestly thought this team was a fringe at best playoff team once we traded away mikko
