Why do people get so angry when someone beeps?

This dude on BMW was going 15mph in 35mph zone. Then he start going 5mph and when light just turn yellow he stopped but had enough time to go through plus 3 cars behind me could of gone through. I beeped at him... Well, he got pissed... This 60 year old guy jumps out of his BMW and starts going toward me like he's gonna kick my ass... When he saw me, he did 180 degree turn and went back into his car and start throwing his hands up... Is this unnecessary? Why some people get so mad?

I have to say that I get way too pissed off too, but I would have been the one beeping the horn, and if the guy got out of the car and came back towards my car, there would have been some f-ing words and swinging. Kudos to you for not bashing that mother fuger's head in. I would have a) beat his ass or b) gotten my ass whopped. There would not have been a peaceful resolve. There is NO excuse for shitty driving. fug that sumbitch, I'm getting mad thinking about it.

Yeah... that was the joke...

If you "beep" at me I'm going to get pissed the hell off. Just chill out when you're driving and you'll live a longer, happier life.

I'm chilled, it's the other people that drive like they're the only car on the road. I hate that selfishness... I hate people that create traffic and cause accidents.

I'd say speeding through a yellow light causes more accidents than someone who stops early at one.

Beeping at them probably causes more gun fatalities too.

lolololol

I'd laugh if it wasn't true. They will stop their car in the middle of an intersection and the car coming through will stop and they will talk to each other while cars behind them beep their horns like crazy. Seen it happen three or four times.

I used to hate using the horn, but after realizing that there's no other way to get people to pay attention to the road, I've come to a happy acceptance.

I love honking at people that get belligerent and hint at physical violence. Nothing looks better than going to jail fuged up and in handcuffs because you couldn't make intelligent life choices: jail and hurt or safe and paying attention to the road

    • This season only ends one way... We win this Sunday. Bryce is decent. We take back 1st place...   Only to then get our brakes blown off in the last two weeks.
    • Here's one of the most maddening things, that will be shown in full light over the next three weeks. The same people around here that called Darnold a bum and Mayfield a washed up over draft are also the ones saying Bryce is a catastrophe. Yeah, and I've been one who said Bryce wasn't big enough, brave enough or capable enough. I said back in the day that Darnold had a lot of fight in him and got shouted down. And on Mayfield, heck I didn't know, I just knew we had a very, very bad team that was run terribly. But I saw both of those guys go out there and resurrect their careers and be play-off bound since shaking the Carolina clay dust off their cleats. And we sat there and cat called their cars as they pulled out of the parking lot, laughing at what nobodies they were. Over the next three weeks, those two guys may just serve us sh!t sandwiches and then settle down to their just desserts. And then we'll probably let Bryce go off into the realm of other teams. And when that happens, will we see him coming back, better than before and we're left to re-sit this cycle all over again? Same naysayers, same results, same revolving carousel of ponies and pundits?  Will we end up looking like the Temu version of the San Diego Chargers back in the day watching Drew Brees come to fruition in the previously moribund Superdome while we whiff on a Manning pick just to be jilted for Phillip "Always a Bridesmaid" Rivers?
