Smith wants out, prefers Chargers or Ravens

I'm sitting here asking myself "why the Ravens?"

He would add speed to that core. He could be the slot receiver he always wanted to be. Mason and Boldin on the outside, Flacco getting better as a QB. Plus he wants to go to the AFC to be fair to the Panthers.

Nothing is going to happen in time to get a pick for this year, so I would prefer a player trade, maybe including a late round pick to make up for any inequality between the two players.

I would hate to see him go without getting some help this season.

Smiths value during a productive season is not comparable to any realistic pick the Panthers will get for him.

haha no offense, but thats the homer in you talking. I love smitty, but if we get a 3rd for him it will be an incredible success. Look at it. Moss was a 4th, Holmes was a 5th. its just not going to happen.

Who ever said the Ravens or Chargers even want to give up anything for Smith. Also we still cannot even trade right now. Who knows what the ruling will be from the judge.

I've give you Boldin and the defense, that's about it... Flacco has got to be the most overrated QB in the NFL right now.

It's also important to remember that the window is closing quickly on the elite talent in the Ravens defense (Lewis, Reed).

I agree with you about the player for player trade, I think thats the only way we can get legitimate value for Smith. Otherwise we are just getting some 3rd or 4th rounder, odds are he wont be as good.
