I do think the question about him "wanting to be great" is absurd, what has he done to suggest he doesn't want to be great?

Like the "fake smile" it's the kind of criticism that seems totally subjective and unfair to me. Why wasn't anybody questioning whether or not Sam Bradford wanted to be great last year? I think some of these "analysts" dislike Cam on a personal level so they fling these "questions" about him around... I'd hate to think it was motivated by race.

what else could it be than(honestly)? he said something on the espn special that i thought was interesting "they setting me up for failure either way". he was speaking about the media and the questions they ask.

The level of burn inside of you to be great, to be an icon, a legend, etc. is a contributing identifier to how hard you are willing to work. This guy is going to get 50 million and has a less than sterling past. He also has a looong way to go to be an NFL QB worthy of a #1 overall.

In that respect the question is extremely valid. One of the best questions to have actually.

So buying a stolen laptop, cheating on exams and potentially trying to take money to play at a certain school means you don't want to be a great NFL QB?

How about the fact that he's won two national championships and the Heisman? How about the fact that he looks like he's chiseled out of stone and he use to organize practices on his own and stay at Auburn on the weekends to workout while others went to ATL to chase tail? When BAMA was all over Auburn, Cam could have packed it in and accepted the loss and we all would have understood but instead he put the team on his back and carved out a win.

I would say Cam has done MUCH MORE to demonstrate that he does want to be great based on what I know.

I get that vibe a lot from these analysts like they want him to fail I hope he proves them wrong.

take it easy. 50 million is a lot of money and the question is valid. Also what he did in college NO LONGER MATTERS once he walks that stage.

Settle down bro. Nobody is attacking him. Damn
