Whitlock on Cam and NFL in general

basically Whitlock is a contrarian, sometimes Contrarians are right and make good points, other times they are just trolling.

he's hitting on the obvious race component that has emerged around Newton, which has been undeniable between KT's post here and many many callers to 610AM, to Warren Moon....

I fail to see how Cam is any better a prospect than The Golden Calf of Bristol was, he has little better throwing motion while less accurate than The Golden Calf of Bristol, but worse than The Golden Calf of Bristol in other parts of his game.

Quick note on The Golden Calf of Bristol...

He was drafted over Clausen.

The Golden Calf of Bristol has better NFL stats than Clausen.

If Newton is ONLY another The Golden Calf of Bristol, we're getting an upgrade.

And it only costs us the #1 overall pick.

The Golden Calf of Bristol was responsible for just over 2 TDS a game in his 3 starts. That would be @35 tds over 16 games if he maintained that pace.

2010 Panthers offense...... 16 total offensive TDs.

If Newton can be responsible for 2 tds a game he is worth every dollar of it.

Basically anyone who questions Cam Newton is an idiot. I see how it works. The next five years are gonna be fun.

Everyone has questions. Questions are good to ask in an effort to get them answered. How is someone claiming that Newton is Russell 2.0 or using "When" instead of "If" he busts, a question?

We don't need Peyton Manning caliber QB play to be great......Colts need it b/c they have no D and no run game.....and don't care to have it.

If Cam is just pretty good, Carolina will soar if they stay true to defense and having a ground attack.

Trying to extrapolate the stats of The Golden Calf of Bristol over his past 3 games to a full season is comical at best.

Matt Moore threw for over a thousand yards with 8 TD's in 5 games. By your logic, he is a 24TD and 3,000 yard QB. If so, why would we want Cam?

Those are The Golden Calf of Bristol's only starts. Moore has a much larger body of work to realize he isn't a great QB.

Book is still out on The Golden Calf of Bristol but his 3 starts were as productive if not more productive than any other rookie QB. And he was the "least NFL ready". Imagine when he is "NFL ready" WOWZERS!!
