Nah, they were talking about Cam, yes. But Young was saying how Cam doesn't fit into Chuds offense. so why are we even talking about the pic?

But Chris Carter did say "Cuz Carolina has it."

Oh ok I wasn't watching but it's to be expected If he's the pick our staff feels otherwise so f**k Young's opinion.

My thing is if Chud is so good and Cam is so good...why can't they work together and come up with something both can work together? It seems the best work around the player. We have had 9 years of trying to fit square pegs in round holes. And that crap sure didn't work.

He has a very smug personally. He was a really great player, but his cocky attitude on TV and his smirks come off really bad. He acts like hes better than everyone he comes in contact with. The international asshole. I can't stand him.

Were you talking about Cam or Steve, I couldn't tell by this post alone

silly to think they can't and/or that this isn't the plan.

newton will grow into the system because he has to. chud will tailor the offense to newtons strengths because he has to. the two will meet in the middle somewhere and it will be just fine. as long as no one is putting anyone into any boxes and both are flexible things will work out well.

"Why are we even talking about the number one pick?"

You shouldn't make fun of him. His brain is scrambled, and honestly, I thought most people listened to him just to boost his self esteem. It's really admirable that ESPN employs him. It's kinda like when you go to Harris Teeter and you see that dwarf with down syndrome corralling the buggies.

Why are we letting others' opinions sway us on this Newton deal? I know what I think of the guy, and that's that he is a risk, but if he plays up to his potential we'll be division-contenders in two years. I realize the risk but appreciate the potential. We all know this, yet everyone seems to get bent out of shape when others disagree. Who cares?

The Panthers FO obviously sees potential in him, and they've done more research on this guy than any other NFL FO. How about we just trust them and enjoy this?

This can be the moment of something real, and fun, and inspiring in this God forsaken business, and we can do it together. Now, who's comin with me??

AMEN, Brother...

Ride The Newton Train until it falls off the track...hopefully 14-15-16 yrs from now.

    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
