most of the bandwagoners are going to be Auburn fans like myself. you drafted one of our "family" so to speak. Cam played for my team before yours. If you don't like us, so be it. I will be rooting for Cam to succeed regardless. What is wrong for rooting for someone? Please tell me? Who am I supposed to root for in the NFL living in Auburn, Alabama?

Sir Cameron Newton: Leader of Men, Lover of Puppies...Esquire is still the best. You can change it to Scrub Newton in about 2 years though. Kid is going to be a huge bust. Not a Leaf/Russell type of bust, but a bust nevertheless. You have my sympathies Panther fans.

Are you going to support this team or just Cam, just a question? I have buddies that are big college fans and don't care that much about the pro game. They aren't real 'fans' of the teams their school's star get drafted to as much as casual followers. Clemson is big in the area I live in and you have the so-called Bills fans around here because Spiller got drafted there last year. They couldn't tell you anything about the Bills organization, but can tell you Spiller's stats.

I was once like you. Coming from Carlisle, PA, there was no way I wanted to be a Squeeler fan or an Iggles fan. I decided I would like one of the new expansion teams when they were announced. Carolina Panthers or Jacksonville Jaguars. PSU QB Kerry Collins was drafted by the Panthers, I became a Panther fan. However, when Collins left, I stayed a Panther fan.

my only connection to Carolina is Cam. I am an avid sports fan. I play Madden religiously but trade for Auburn players. I know pretty much everyone on the roster. If the game is not on TV in Alabama, I will have the yahoo game up on my computer following the play by play. I did the same for Tampa Bay when Carnell Williams got drafted there. I want the Panthers to win the Super Bowl.

      It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth
