Does Kealoha Pilares beat out Armanti Edwards?

Recommended Posts

I really hope AE pans out... I thought we'd utilize him way more last year. I have faith that Chud will exploit all of his strengths.

As for Pilares, I really hope that he can contribute right away. I hope he turns out to be a steal!

Utilize him? Did you even watch the few series he played?

Someone can't be utilized who:

1. can't hold onto the ball no matter how the ball is given to them

2. has no idea how to play the position drafted to play, and that's on the Panthers.

I only hope the stupd days of Hurney drafting players outside of their natural position is over.

This was a huge wasted draft pick. Huge.

Don't think we can judge any player we counted on Fox to develop.

I don't think Fox wanted AE. I think that was something Hurney pulled off by himself. Fox never seemed to excited about what AE brought to the table. He wasn't spectacular in pre-season but he wasn't awful either. I think the talent Chudz will walk into will amaze him.

I still have high hopes for AE. Hopefully he will get a chance to shine this year. We'll see.

So, don't judge Dwayne Jarett?

Jarrett didn't develop himself. It had nothing to do with FOX. Most average Panther fans knows this... To say Fox didn't develop him is really kinda stupid. FWIW

So, don't judge Dwayne Jarett?

Jarrett was on the team four years, armanti one.

Dwayne had a stable learning environment and veterans to mentor him.

This is the dumbest comparison you could have made. Please take your posting talents to like a my little pony forum or something.

Fiz, it's called sarcasm. You being a writer and all should be able to detect it.

I don't see them as the same kind of receiver although both may play the slot. Seems to me with Smith possibly leaving, we need all the guys we can get out there. With a shortened training camp, it will be very hard to weed out the wheat from the chaff. Maybe they will extend the final cuts into the season.

A lot of people blinded with Armanti hatred because of the trade or, in the case of a few posters, because they are WCU fans. Regardless, Armanti will start before Pilares.

Hahahaha...and you don't think there are just as many(probably more) who only like armanti bc of his ties to app state?

    • I'm salty every time I see someones mid picks become stars while we throw first and second rounders over and over and they all stink outside of Tet (who still has a lot to prove, imo)
    • There is a contingent that is total Bryce but they weathervane with the wind. When the good Bryce wind blows about once or twice a month we hear a lot from them. But they are always pro Bryce, they just don’t pipe up too much when he sucks. I can’t speak for them, as far as what they are looking at.    In a second contingent, the collective mind is made up. He has had had basically three years worth of starts that might include a top tier outing or two, a few second tier outings, offset by about the same number of bottom tier outings which actually may have the edge there.  The rest of his stuff is third tier and that is going to be the bulk of his starts. We want to move on. And we aren’t getting off of that hill until he puts us off of it. He has not.    There is a third contingent that has no conviction and definitely weather vanes. Bryce is good. Bryce isn’t good. Depending on the latest game. They will buy into 7 on 7 success so that should tell you something.
    • Nacua is really fuging good. He might be a better version of Cooper Kupp.
