I feel this POTC is to the series what Indiana Jones: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was to the Indiana Jones series.

Wow, I disagree with a lot of this. Maybe it's because I really like these kinds of movies, but I love the POTC franchise.

Depp is fantastic as Jack Sparrow, nobody else could do it anything like he does.

RDJ has his Sparrow-esque moments, like in Sherlock Holmes, but I don't think RDJ as Jack Sparrow would be quite the same.

the first one was great and they've gone downhill ever since. this one was god-awful.

Worst of all the movies. Lacked character development and was a confused plot line. Rental at best.

Not surprised.

After the second one, when they ended the movie in a way where you had to see the third one just to finish the story, it became clear to me where the producers/directors/and sadly actors put their interests and priorities= money.

I tip my hat to Keira and Orlando for not selling out with this movie.

Okay, I must've liked it because I'm a Pirates fanboy.

All I want in a movie is to be entertained and to see some hot chicks. I got both, so I will praise the movie.
