ponder says newton's terminology more complex than vikings...

gregauman Vikings' Ponder said Panthers' Cam Newton was at IMG last week, and Carolina's terminology much more complex than what he's learning.
gregauman Vikings WR Greg Camarillo says new playbook he saw for 1st time Sunday is "completely different" in terminology. Out route now called "okey"
doesn't sound like the vikings playbook is all that complex. maybe it is...what matters, though, is that it doesn't sound like the panthers playbook or terminology is getting dumbed down for newton. if he is getting the grasp on it that weinke said he is, i don't think we've got a whole lot to worry about as far as newton is concerned with the playbook. he'll be making the adjustment just fine.

now, we still have to see how he does in learning how to read defenses and make adjustments accordingly, but i still think he'll catch on quickly.

Newton is a far better prospect than many give him credit for. He is intelligent, although some comments have come off questionable. He is a hard worker, and that kind of work ethic showed last season when he went undefeated and won a National Championship. It will also show sometime this season if we can ever get a deal done. There is no doubt in my mind that Cam Newton will be the answer at QB.

How does Ponder know what's in the Panther's playbook?

it's just the terminology. you can't help but listen to language when it's around you. you may not understand it, but you can tell if it's just a bunch of grunts or if it takes 30 seconds to say you've got to take a crap.

CarolinaCatBrigade, dude, any chance to tone down ur signature/avatar pics? Some of us have familes and shouldnt have to hit the panic button while reading a panther forum.
turn off avatars and sigs. forum works quicker without them anyways. i haven't had them turned on for a couple years.

The forum is just so boring to looking out without any color to it though..

I can't even log onto this place in public, but at the same time, a bunch of words without any color is a total drag to look at, not to mention, it's typically easier to remember new people when they have avatars.

Just sayin'

I'm simply saying that I shouldn't have to explain what I'm doing every time I get "caught" looking at this website, nor should the experience be toned down for those of us who don't log on here to say "Look at these girls I jacked off to last night nom nom nom!!" I'm not saying those images should be banned, as that would be unfair for those who do log on to jack off, but if those pictures could be automatically marked or something as sketchy images, and we in turn had an option to turn off those said images, but leave on standard images, I think it would make everybody happy. It's not that i need "pictures" it's just that experience is better overall when people have an identity and you can build e-friendships with them, something an avatar and sig provide- an identity (or an e-dentity tee-hee) It makes for a better overall community feel, at least for some.
