It's sick, but I am absolutely loving the chaos on the tampa message boards right now over the cutting of Brooks. Tampa has a long history of disgarding their great players like used toilet paper, but according to a quote from Brooks he didn't even know it was coming.... wow, nice way to treat a guy.

I think he meant $5.00.. Geez I hope so anyways. Who the hell in their right mind would spend $500.00 on a pack of trading cards at this point in time?

No cs36620 is right they came out of $500.00 pack and thanks it's a beauty in person, I sold my Peppers rookie auto card and took that money and bought the quad..

Heck I just bought a Matt Moore rookie auto from National Treasures and those packs sell between $400-500 a pack.

The card business always does well even in rough times someone I know just plunked down $200 for a Walter Peyton jersey auto card with a huge stain all over the card.

Out of curiosity, what else did you pull out of the pack?

for $500, i'm hoping he got some spanish dabloons, the holy grail, a map to one eyed willie's treasure, and the beatles song catalog in addition to that card.

it is a pretty damn sweet card though.

    • Pretty sure that a QB contract payday is all the competition any QB in this league needs, I don't think a competent backup is going to make them play any harder when the current situation wouldn't warrant the contract extension yet anyways. Your opening point in this post is also the problem, "Bryce has shown signs of improving", but that's still all he's shown, and he's only showing that because of just how bad he was to start his career. If he played like last season from the beginning and never improved one bit, then I actually think more fans would be ready to move on from him, which is what's weird.  It's like going from one of the biggest draft busts of all time into the 25th best QB in the league over 3 years means he deserves a long term $40+ million a year contract extension. Improvement shouldn't be the goal when the result of said improvement is still bottom of the league levels.
    • Yeah, but we've seen him do it. Just not often. I think that's the reason for the taller WRs. Would likely be a problem finding someone like Jimmy Horn in the mess.
    • And the Rams, Seattle, Patriots, Green Bay, Jaguars and the Bills who all made the playoffs and in case you forgot, Seattle and the Patriots played in the SB. By any measure, that's pretty brutal.
