Best Buy thinks they own the word Geek

So Best Buy is threatening legal action over a commercial that pretty much depicts every encounter with a Best Buy sales associate I've ever had.

Yeah, they pretty much need to get over themselves and fix their shitty sales training program (if they even have one), rather than go after Newegg for telling it like it is.

I used to rip best buy off big time back in the early 2000s by buying a new video card and sticking the old one back in the box and getting a refund.. I may be a thief but it's hard to feel bad about doing it to Worst Buy.

I've never ever stepped foot inside of a Best Buy.

That's actually very wierd! Whether you actually buy something or not is different... But to never step inside of one... Hmmmmmmm...

Let me guess... U live in a city where there's only one stop sign, and you have to walk everywhere? <---- totally kidding!

That's crazy though.

Really there is no reason to buy any electronics from Best Buy if you live in NC. You can order thing from places like Amazon and avoid paying taxes. No tax makes the items cheaper. Also the prices online are generally cheaper anyway.

They always try to get you to buy warranties and there are never enough people to assist in buying things. Not that I need any knowledge on electronics, I just need them to go get the item I want to buy so I can buy it. When you shop online you just click a few buttons and you have your item. You even get free 2day shipping on Amazon if you lie and tell them you're a mom. Hurts my pride a little bit but I'm saving money and getting items fast.

I do not like customer service in-person. I find the people to usually be annoying. People try to say it's best to shop at places like Best Buy (all these stores have the same problem, not just bashing BB) because if something doesn't work you can go there and easily have the issue sorted out. I disagree, I've had nothing but headaches the few times I did buy things and had to return them. When I shop online the returns are easy, the only problem is you have to wait a long time for RMAs but usually stuff isn't broken.

I do have to thank Walmart though. When my PS2 died I just bought a new one at Walmart, took the new one out and put my broken one back in, then returned it. That's about all those places are good for.

Hmmm. That's interesting.

I don't particuarly care for ordering electronics online. Had a few bad experiences. Mainly, when I want something, I want to have someone to smack around when there is a problem. :)

Not that I use bestbuy very often. Although I did recently purchase an excellent landline phone with headsets for working from home.

    • New season new teams. Everyone we face has improved their team as well. There's now a full season of tape on Canales's offense and Bryce running it. When they win 7 games I will become a believer.
    • I mean I think its a bit disingenuous to call basically anyone here a casual fan. I don't think the casual fan creates a profile then logs into it, in the offseason, to comments on mundane offseason topics.. I dont think anyone on here would be considered a casual fan. That said, I get your point. My POV is from the player. They sign this contract, move their family because of these contracts. When Clowney came him, we basically had a coming home party for him.  So yeah, I get why we did it and I know that ultimately the owner doesnt 'save' money, but I can feel for the human side of the player, which is why I want them to get all they can while they can.
    • My guess is the NBA will either send Flagg back “home” to the Northeast in Brooklyn or Washington, or San Antonio so that they can keep building around Wemby. If I was a betting man I would take the odds on the Spurs. This definitely feels like a #1 pick that they will rig.
