Job interview advice

why do you want this position?

guarantee they will ask that question....be prepared to answer it!!!!

hard because I realize you are young with minimal experience, but focus on things you have accomplished in the past. Talk about team things too, but focus on the you part of it, if that makes sense...you want to ensure they know you are a team player, but not reliant on others to carry the ball.

I also give credit for people that look me in the eye when we are communicating. Phone job, so the way you speak and answer your questions, clear and concise, quickly, no stammering, bouncing around etc. People on the phone don't want to listen to you saying the same thing, over and over.

Don't lie! Embellish as needed, but stick to the truth so you don't get busted!!

It's the only one I have. Plus heat doesn't bother me too much.

Not trying to pick on you, but just more of a question to the huddle.

I am amazed at how few "nice" clothes young men have these days. Does anyone else find it a little strange when someone says they don't have a tie/multiple button downs/sport jackets?

I'm pretty amazed myself.. I've had to own this stuff since my very early 20's though.. but even before that, I've been forced to dress up on Sunday's..

to me, if you can't tie a windsor, you need to learn..

I am the same way.

Closet full of Brooks Brothers button downs.

A few spring/summer suits, and a few fall/winter suits. Not to mention 15 pairs of dress shoes.

Maybe we are the strange ones, but when I am supposed to look nice, I want to.

I have very little dressy clothes at all....I'm all about jeans and t's/golf shirts.

but, I have no current dress code either, so I can come to work the way I please. Maybe the new job will change my wardrobe!

guys in button downs and ties: HAWT

Wink.....:)

It's strange. One of my roommates is an all black/jeans/avaitors kinda guy, while the other is surf clothes, and I am khaki and polo/button downs.

We all attract different womenz when out too.

I thought you guys up there wore a denim shirt, blue jeans and a denim jacket. At least that's what we call a Canadian Tuxedo :D

Me, I have quite a few suits. I wore zoot suits back in the day to score with the chickas. I wear pretty casual gear when in the field but at the office, there is a dress code, business casual.

When we go to the outlet malls, I can't resist buying a new shirt or two. I have a varied collection of brands from Eddie Bauer to Van Heusen that I will wear with 501's or dress pants.

I used to hate it.. now I enjoy the feeling of standing in front of the mirror to put on a tie.

if it's strange to look good, then I don't want to be normal!
